| This rumour has been going around for months and months. Until it's announced by Warrington Wolves directly and there is a picture of Clark holding his Wire shirt, I'm not believing a word of it.

With the exceptions of Asotasi and England who ate both in their first seasons I do t think Smith has done much wrong in recruitment. Injuries have plagued us this season but in the long run we will be better for it.'"
I did say "recent", as in the last few years previous to now...where two years ago we brought no new players in and at the end of that season we lost Carvell Morley Cooper Hodgson Briers(forced) and this year we brought in a [so far] disappointing Asotasi and a rookie prop to SL (A.England).
Russell looks good, the other two will take some time, but overall in the last two years I've been pretty disappointed with who has gone and who has come. Especially considering we've lost King Anderson and Solomona not too long ago neither.

What did you think of the signing of Chris Hill

As I've said, "recent"! This is Hill's third year (arguably my favourite player!).
We didn't sign a single player in the Winter of 2012-13 and have brought in Asotasi England and Russell this past Winter.

| This is beginning to sound like Monty Pythons 'dead parrot sketch', unless it's too old ( as in not recent) for most people on here to remember.

6/7 months back we were very close to administration, we had to find money FAST.
We sold our major asset to warrington.
Imo it was done in haste, but done to save the club.
....and yes you will have the best hooker in the game come next season. Unless we find money to pay you back what you bought daz for.
To me its a right mess. Enjoy him he's a right gem.'"
I've just re-read this. It says. 'We were in trouble, so we sold our best asset to another Club. Because of that we're now stable, so we want to keep him. However we're stable because we sold him and if we want to get him back we don't currently have the money to do it.'
Which all means that you've completely made up the whole story. If he's signed for Wire I'll believe it when I see it.

| I really wish it was a made up story.
The more accurate connections of mine suggest last year you paid £170k for him, which saved the club and against his will. He would leave, once he heard you were interested. He placed a transfer request in to avoid having to go somewhere he didn't want. Aka. Salford.
The other story, which I've not had confirmed by anyone connected, is you paid a £30k fee to have first refusal on him and that no deal has actually been signed, and the club will refund the 30k + a bit extra to keep him (I think that's wishful thinking. 30k wouldn't have saved a club from Admin I wouldn't have thought)
I do however know for a fact, Daz doesn't want to leave. He loves the club and never wanted out, but early last season it was Chase or him. We held out on Chase as long as possible. But if he comes. His heart will stay with us!
He is however the best hooker in the league at the minute. And will continue to get better!

Even better, go to the Superleague site and check out his stats for this year. Top tackler, best average gain, high level of tackle busts and clean breaks and third highest try scorer for Cas. Hope he is joining us next year!

I didn't hear it (being at the game) but I'm told Nobby said something along the lines of ... 'very strong rumours that Daryl Clark will be at Warrington next year'.
