| Personally, given the amount of new housing and "money" in there, I'd like to see places like Chapelford and the new developments targeted with billboards. The Burtonwood road m62 junction into Sankey and Cromwell Ave has stationary traffic for a good 2hrs a day. How many people would pass a couple of big adverts? It's a wasted opportunity. It always seems that the majority of the marketing is done around the stadium, basically being seen by people who already know the stadium and team exist.

I do think though that a wolfware shop in the golden square could be a massive marketing tool. The Windows could have big screens showing classic games and what not. They could even have a small timeline thing going on in the entrance. I dunno, in my head it looks ace
You are aware we had a shop at Cockhedge which was an unmitigated disaster?
I really don't see the point of relocating/creating a new location some sub-ten minutes walk away from the existing shop. It seems even more pointless, when you factor parking into the equation.
The website is undeniably looking a little dated, but a remit should be given to the designers (www.theonepoint.co.uk), to maintain the site with current techniques. The Arial based font, is a little bit weak, certainly when it is considered with a lack of flash content. The general landing page is a little too busy for me, but that can be easily remedied.
To the person decrying the kit design, maybe you should take it up with the manufacturers, ISC, who propose designs for approval. You know, the same company who produce kits for half a dozen NRL sides.

A shop in the Cockhedge was always going to be a disaster, a shop in Golden Square would be totally different.
I think we all agree the website is pants and they seem to concentrate all their efforts on Facebook and twitter accounts.

| Did the shop in cockhege look like our current shop? If so there is one of your answers
Irish wire is right. More people in the golden square. And an ultra modern looking shop will undoubtedly pull people in. Add that to staging events there and you're laughing.

| What is an 'ultra modern' looking shop? Where do the people who specifically go to the shop park? How much more profit would the shop have to make, purely to cover the lease of said, 'ultra modern' shop?
If the Golden Square is the answer why do units lie empty which were once occupied by High Street retailers, bearing in mind shops of this kind are utilised for occasional purposes?

To be fair the shops that have shut are being outdone by their rivals, there would be no rival for a Wire shop.

| Ultra mordern meaning open plan, eye catching enterance, plasma TV's facing outward showing highlights, or maybe even the wire2wolves video. Promotional work. Enthusiastic staff with matching uniforms. Events taking place.
You know marketing that would attract people. Everything that the current Wolfware doesn't do. Instead of people going to the stadium all the time I'm guessing they would leave it to the weekend and tie it in with their Saturday stroll round town. But if they really want to go during the week they can still pop to the stadium.
It wouldn't just be a shop it would be a tool.

I've always agreed that we should have a shop in the Golden Square. On the proviso that it was discounted as I can imagine the rent not being the cheapest.
Having said that, I think somewhere small would be better. Just big enough to sell shirts, maybe a bit of training gear, DVD's and tickets.
For me it would be more about having a presence in the main shopping area and being able to market the games and run promotions from there.
(Most of) the staff are enthusiastic enough. It's the competency and attitude that could be better.

It seems to have gotten better this year, but I still can't stand going in there.
