| It wouldn't shock me if our completion rate was in single figures. Dreadful. Felt really let down by the lack of effort on show almost without exception. Presuming some of the players might have booked a mini break seeing as we've got a week off. Looked like they were mentally already on those beaches. A lot of soul searching needed in the next two weeks.

You had a game tonight, I was just browsing to see what the views were. I have nowhere on this board (and to my knowledge neither has 99.99% of other FC fans) commented on the game.
Was purely browsing.

| A billion percent credit to Widnes. Wigan, Leeds, Saints and the league winners Huddersfield can't contain us but Widnes have twice. All the credit to them. Amazing performance.

Leeds and Saints have both had comfortable wins against us this year. We managed to scrape wins against injury hit Leeds and Wigan at the HJ, as for Huddersfield I'm not quite sure why it is they fall apart against us. Without Myler I can't see us having any impact on the play offs sadly.

| How many noticed Mickey Higham scooting off from dummy half turning around to pass and no one there for him, it must happened half a dozen times, even "err in doors" spotted that! That was one clueless and leaderless performance. Mr Clarke stated at one point that 4 points down would be a show of what Wire have got to get them out of a hole if this was a play off game, well we now know "Jack pooh"
Widnes by the way were great, took advantage of a negative situation and played the right way. How many times have we gone through a season where a bottom end club have done the double on us, far too many for a Grand Final winning side.
As i have stated many times this group of players are not good enough to compete at the very top level
I expect that they will be different at Stains Park and get a good hiding in France.

| It was flat, lazy, almost effortless performance... the players jogged round like they weren't bothered.
When we had the ball Widnes defensive lined charged onto us, while our attacking line was flat... players just stood there motionless passing the ball to each other... When we didnt have the ball our line often just stood at the 10m mark and let them run onto us.
No point trying to call the players that played badly, as only very few came out of the game with any credit. However it was the usual culprits for the points against in most cases. Even my 12 year old nephew called the nature of the Widnes tries before the game.... Attacking to our left hand side must be pretty much standard for every team that plays us now. It certainly good for a couple of trys each week.

I disagree.
Since you lot beat us in the semi final, your fans have been swarming over this site like a tramp on chips. Strange behaviour for a set of supporters that supposedly "don't give a fook about Wire".

| Why is everyone being so negative. OK we were pathetic last night and our chances of winning the hubcap have all but but disappeared but on the positive side at least we now hold the world record for the most knock ons in a match.

Without Atkins, I seriously worry about the above, prime example when Micky Higham made the break in the first half, if he had Atkins in support instead of Bridge that would have been a try everyday of the week.

| For me it looked we never set out to win the game. It was like take it easy boys, get no injuries.

| I was seething watching that pile of chod, last night, but I thought "calm down, Lefty, it wont feel as bad in the morning".
I WAS WRONG............COMPLETE FARCE FROM MINUTE ONE.
As deckchair alludes to, above, our left side defence is comical, and is an accident waiting to happen, every time the opposition have the ball.
I know last night was the time or place for Harlem Globetrotters style RL, but we look totally void of ANY ideas with the ball in hand.
We have Briers, injured again, who hasn't been anywhere near his best this season, given another year's contract. I'm still shaking my head at that one.
Myler, injured again, who unfortunately was in great form at the time.
Monaghan M, who is no more a scrum half, than I am.
Ratchford, who is great in broken play, but isn't creative enough for his team.
BRING BACK O'BRIEN, NOW. We have a crisis (not to put too finer point on it) in the halves. I see no other way of rectifying it.
I feel lower than a snake's belly, atm. Even worse than the Stains 80-0, the Bradford 84-10, but not as bad as the Easter Monday 1995 34-0 massacre v Wigan at home (special mention to Francis Maloney for his all round 5h1teness, that day).
It pains me to say it, but our season is petering out before our very eyes, but we can't see it. Since Manchester Magic, we've had a couple of training match "blow-outs" v London and Salford, we limped over the line against severely depleted Wigan and Leeds teams, stuttered to wins over Wakey, Bradford and HKR, and had the implosion that was the CCSF and last night's debacle. Yes, we won all but two of those games, but we've not played well since Myler's injury.
As for the play-offs, who knows.
We are now staring at a potential away game at the PieDome due to last night's "effort". In current form, that doesn't fill me with glee, BUT, Wigan's form is matching ours, scraping over the line to just do enough to win games.
Huddersfield simply poo their pants every time they see us.
Which leaves us with Stains and Leeeeeeeeds. I wouldn't rule out one of them being in Salford on a Saturday night in early October.
