Was your username on the old wolfweb site JC or something like that? If so I think you were at a meetup we had and arranged through wolfweb at LA Bowl?

Get away from Old Trafford by 9 o'clock, you should be in Worthing by 2 (assuming you drive, and I'm guessing you live in Worthing). Alternatively there's a flight out of Manchester to Heathrow at 10 Saturday night.

It was, and I was there! I was JC exiled at Stockton on Tees. We actually all met up at Wilderspool one evening for a few beers from what I can remember.

| Aha, yeah thought so And yeah, it was at Wilderspool (The LA Bowl one must have been a separate meet), watched some videos of good wins we'd had so far that season IIRC.

How about who will be travelling the shortest distance?
I will start; 1.5 miles (driving distance) - 1.2 miles (as the crow flies).
Pre-game drinks will be hosted at my flat.
I presume this means I am an 'exiled supporter'!

| Our gang of glory-hunters numbers somewhere between eight and eleven, none of whom live in Warrington.
We will be converging on Manchester, a-la the opening titles of Dad's Army, from Crewe, Huddersfield, Leeds and Ealing. Plus a possible two from Istanbul.
None of us are season-ticket holders.
None of us went to Langtree Park.
All of us will be completely unfashionable.
We have though watched year after year of tripe in our earlier years and we'd like the True Fan Committee to consider this when reaching a judgement.

What are the minimum qualifications with regards to whether people can attend next Saturday's match?
I'm thinking of taking my dad as a bit of a treat for him, but he hasn't been near a rugby ground for about 10 years.....I presume that he is not allowed to attend, or, at the very least, will have to be labelled clearly so he can be identified as a gloryhunter?
Also, I have missed quite a few games this year, simply because I have a life outside of supporting Wire - Should I go and sit with the other unloyal fans??
Any advice would be welcome, cheers, Dita....xx

Sadly the two from Istanbul can't make it. 16.5 hour return flight makes it impossible. There will however be a PnB themed night in my lojman. One of the Istanbul contingent is from Sydney so we could have taken the pot! We will be thinking of my Yorkshire and London friends and my brother and s-i-l from Crewe x

| Still working on what my travel plans will be, but whatever happens we'll be there!
Lack of flights from Edinburgh to Manchester mean it may be another long drive down...

My accent is still in the vague middle ground where I sound both kind-of and kind-of-not Yorkshire. I've been here 8 years but I don't want to give up the accent, and I'm reliably informed I get much less Yorkshire when watching the rugby!
As for this Saturday, has a part of the Wire end been assigned for us apparent glory hunters who haven't been to every game? I've already booked my seat so I might be in the wrong place.

| I'll be driving up from Devon on Saturday morning, picking the old man up from the wood and getting to HJ in plenty of time for the coach to Old Trafford then driving back on Sunday morning (hopefully will a big smile from a sweet victory and a double).
I do remember as a kid finding out that Warrington had done the double in 1954 and wondering what it was like to know that your team was without question the best there was that season. I thought we were last season but the record books don't show it. Here's hoping we get the record books to show what we want this year!

i would also like some clarification on the rules.... I am getting married in november and going on honeymoon to New York in december......As a result i have had to prioritise money... Going the match has had to take a back seat.. I even missed wembley this year... But i have my tickets for the grand final.
Am i allowed to go?

Haha - if we'd got there two years ago when I lived in Chorlton I'd have been walking!
As I'm now "exiled" all the way in Heald Green though it will either be train from there or bus from Wythenshawe to town then tram to Exchange Quay. How inconvenient.

| I'm coming up from Northants on Saturday by car bringing with me two southern 'glory hunters' whose only games in the last twelve months have been the Challenge Cup Final and the four nations double header at Wembley last year. The only rule re 'glory hunters' should be: the more the merrier.
