You couldn't afford Tomkins, we only fit him into our cap with the new cap rules. And hell would freeze over before Tomkins or Roby sign for Wire.

| Why not have Warrington jobs for Warrington players, its a local team for local people.
It's not all about winning trophies. If we put a team of 13 Warrington born lads on the park then win or lose we could lord it over the Wigan fans, Rogues and his mates would never be able to say anything about our youth system again.

The one that was retro-fitted to suit Wigan.

The same rule that would be more beneficial to Warrington than any other super league team , and also keeps home grown English talent in our sport and league. But no your right a prime example of Wigan forcing rule changes and helping only them selves.

I'd guess that GDMM was alluding to the "marquee player" exemption from the cap that Wigan referred to when resigning Tomkins and which is still being referred to on a regular basis by Wigan fans even though it doesn't exist.

Read the rules! A team benefits from producing players who are in England's Elite training squad, you couldn't get the benefits of this as you did not produce Sam Tomkins from your youth academy.

| I seen Sam Tomkins openly admit his love for Warrington on Super Leagues supermen the other week. Even referring to the Henry try against Leeds as his favourite ever try. Once a Wire, always a wire.

| Didn't he do an interview proclaiming Langer was his terrace hero and he had a shirt with Langer on the back?
If he ever did come to Wire from Wigan there would be bedlam on here.

they'll saVE some money with gareth thomas playing for nowt, and they'll reap the rewards from publicity of that film thats being done about him, that mickey rourke isn't bothering with anymore.

We are already entitled to the maximum £100k so it'll makje no difference having Tomkins or not. So again, why does this rule make it possible for Wigan to be able to afford Tomkins but not Warrington when Warrington get the maximum benefit possible?
