I could have sworn I'd read something in the Warrington Guardian where Gatcliffe stated that the club took out a loan for the work to fill in the corners?
I must have mis-read it. Interesting that the club had the capital available to pay for it outright, I wouldn't have expected it. |

Just going back to the Bulls 'model', one of their fundamental problems was that they had to average attendances of over 10k (maybe as high as 11.5k) to break even because of the ongoing work to the stadium. That's OK when you're winning but - a little like Wigan planning their finances based on winning the CC every year in the 80-90's - you can't guarrenttee that.
Bulls are hampered by their ground but it looks like they didn't talk to their bankers before selling the ground to the RFL !!
If true - it's amateurish and Hood should hang his head in shame.

2000 extra. Capacity has gone from 13024 to 15000. |
