Quote: the ditch "Justin Morgan has done the right thing left a sinking Ship!!'"

Of all the nonsense spouted on the thread, this takes the biscuit.

First of all, Morgan never 'left' but was effectively sacked.

Was it the right decision? Time will tell, but Craig Sandercock has created an excellent impression in a short space of time and you would struggle to find a Hull KR fan who doesn't think this is the strongest squad the club have had in Super League, particularly after last weekend's resounding friendly win vs Hull FC.

The likes of Shannon McDonnell, Lincoln Withers and the brilliant Mickey Paea are clearly a huge step up on ageing stalwarts like Shaun Briscoe, Ben Fisher and Mick Vella.

David Hodgson is more reliable than the erratic Peter Fox, while the exciting Con Mika looks a more than adequate replacement for Clint Newton who was largely disappointing last year.

Throw in a completely rejuvenated duo of Joel Clinton and Craig Hall, a fit-again Micheal Dobson and the ever-burgeoning talent of youngsters Josh Hodgson, Jordan Cox, Liam Watts and the outstanding Scott Taylor, and Rovers should improve significantly this year, even without the damaging losses of Blake Green and Ben Galea.

Hull Netural i have got you down for a challenge cup Semi at least and finnishing round about 8th maybe 7th,but things wont happen overnight thats all i am saying.

Mark the OP does this on every super league team and he is not usually far off the money on his assesment of most super league teams!!

Are you including the 3 that you've signed from other clubs who have been around for some time (players that you didn't develop at all)? As I presume that the 11 overseas players haven't been brought in to sit in the stand, if you include those 3 as well it only leaves you room for 3 more. Not quite half the side if my maths are right. HKR will do what they always do, a relatively bright first few games, then they'll fall back and finish off another mediocre season in about 9th place.

I think 7th or 8th is a fair assesment given the devastating loss of Blake Green, but there is absolutely no way they Rovers will be scrapping it out in 11th or 12 place as the OP suggested.

What is already evident is that there is an entirely different culture at the club.

Rovers developed a soft underbelly in the last two seasons under Morgan but with a bigger, more robust pack and better competition for places, that won't be the case this year.

Never ceases to amaze me that every season fans of the 'smaller' teams start getting insulted when they are predicted to worse than they expect. They all seem to think that they will be the 'surprise package' of the new season, and justifying this by the fact they have signed a few players. What always seems to be forgotten is the fact nearly every other team strengthens too, not everyone can make the top 8. It's not as bad in this thread but it annoys me when fans act outraged if their team who year on year struggles to make an impact is predicted to do the same the next year.

[b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag. [b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg

Un-beaten in Super league under the new coach - evidence enough I'd say.

You talk about developing players, of which Hull KR have been actively doing since their return to SL, the likes of Whelham, Cox, Taylor, Latus etc. Warrington are miles behind the likes of Wigan, Saints and Leeds for producing their own players. In fact your policy seems to be buy from other clubs. Why are you not producing your own players?

We are not all so fortunate to have players of the quality of Whelam, Cox, Taylor and Latus on our doorsteps.

first of all i said hull born not that wed developed secondly weve never finished 9th and your just assuming we will have 11 aussies in the team every week wrong its easy to make a statement to suit your own argument PS 2 of our aussies are out for at least 6 months so we have 9
