Quote: THEOriginalWire "You should be locked up for four years for that horrific attempt at spelling probably.

I think people would have been complaining had he got away with a slap on the wrist, and he was trying to insight mass violence and robbery, which would have increased our taxes and ruined our town. Four years is a good sentence in my eyes, because he'll end up having it reduced for good behaviour.'"

You do realise that insight and incite have completely separate meanings don't you?

How can four years be an apt sentence for this type of crime, no one in their right mind could think that. I wonder what sort of sentences are being handed out to those involved in the phone hacking scandal, anyone remember that? eusa_think.gif

I can't work out if you want the sentance increasing or if you are suggesting it's too harsh?

Four years for trying to cause a riot is an appropriate sentance. If it had happened there would have been hundreds of thousands of pounds of damage done, people would have lost their livelihoods and potentially even their lives.

The hacking scandal is an emotive crime, but no harm has been done. Phone 'hacking' is just logging into their voicemail using the standard network codes, nothing more elaborate or sinister than that. Whenever they found anything sinister they went to the Police with it.

I'm saying it was too harsh. Just a publicity stunt anyway and it will probably be reduced dramatically when appealed.

If it helps prevent any other little wastes of space starting riots, endangering lives and forcing people out of their homes then it's the right sentence.

Completely agree that it's a publicity stunt and Camerons way of pretending to be tough on crime, but I back it completely.

Ohhh, this poor ickle lamb. My heart bleeds for him. He'll miss his mummy and daddy for 4 years. Hard excrament!!!
At least the streets of Warrington will have one less peice of vermin walking around them for a few years.

There's a well known phrase "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime". Lock the little scrote up for the full 4 years of his sentence. Not a day less for "good behaviour" (I really hate THAT expression, when refering to prison sentences).

Let's not forget, this little scrotum has told other people to go and DESTROY areas of our society, endangering the lives of our emergency services in the process. Oh, and for those who think it's a little too far to jail him, just remember, IF this little turd had got his wish, and his verminous Facebook friends turn up and trash the the town...who pays for the out come....YES, that's right, you and me. When businesses lose stock/tradetime due to this, they put up their prices. If insurance is claimed, insurance companies consequently have to put up THEIR prices because they've had to shell out.

And now we come to today's Guardian, where said vermin's best mate says "There will be trouble after this. People will riot. It will all kick off now he's gone". Another one from the same stock by the sounds of it, who sounds like HE's inciting other people to riot now, because his scumbag mate's got what was coming to him.
Looking through the next few pages of the paper, we've got a MURDERER (let's not use that pathetic excuse of manslaughter) who's got seven years for killing a "friend", an arsonist (who could have potentially killed 2 people), a druggie who beats up someone over bags of washing, a couple of sexual assaulters...delightful, and some prick making letter bombs.

I say LET THE COURTS GET TOUGH.
As I said earlier...if you can't do the time, don't do the crime

Its funny how some people think this is an overly harsh sentence.

If their names had been Mohammed and Abdullah and they'd started a group on facebook saying riot in the name of Allah to get shariah law in the UK, smash up the non believers businesses, I wonder if people would have been sympathetic!
