- A minor, or grade 1, MCL tear can take from a few days to a week and a half to heal sufficiently for you to return to normal activities, including sports.
- A grade 2 tear can take from two to four weeks to heal.
- A grade 3 tear usually takes from four to eight weeks to heal, unless it is associated with damage to the ACL, in which case the recovery time may be longer.

The only disappointment for Warrington was the loss of winger Joel Monaghan with a knee injury.
"He's not great," said Smith. "I think it's a medial ligament problem."
I've read it a couple of other places, but I can't find them at present.

Listening to the Wire FM commentary tonight, Ben Harrison said that Joel would be having surgery next week, and would then be out for a further four weeks. Not good news. On the plus side though, he said he was recovering well from his own injury and was targeting the game against Hull KR in a fortnight for his comeback.

Valuable player gets a month off, recharges his batteries and comes back in time, fit and raring to go for the most important stage of the season??.....Sounds ideal, especially as we have adequate cover to see us comfortably through his absence. |
