Whta daft decision to Let Widnes back into SL. They'll need to buy a whole new team based on their current squad who'll probably come from the team that loses its license ie, Wakefield.

Replace average with average + a few OAP Aussies = Wooden Spoon

Based on what I've seen of Halifax I think their squad + a few additions would compete in SL. Shame the RFL didn't take rugby ability into the equation.

Come on Live Wired, surely you can see the benefit of having Weirdness back in the big time. They have met a criteria which is fit and proper for Superleague. £1m turnover, 2500 avg crowds, recent finals etc. They also have a fit for purpose stadia, and a good youth set up.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Feverstone cannot offer any of those (other than getting to one final).

Met a criteria? Nicely worded phrases to ensure that Harlequins and Crusaders had an advantage...lets not fool ourselves.

Could'nt really give a toss what a ground looks like or how many cupcakes are sold at halftime. I only give a toss about the quality of rugby league on offer at the highest level. On last season's performances, the quality was far higher at Halifax, Barrow and Featherstone.

Anyway, 1st game of the season, Widnes vs Wigan live on Sky.

Is it true that Widnes had a turnover of £2 million? that's fantastic if true.

I've been impressed with o'connor.... He speaks well and he seems to have the club at heart.

Widnes would appear to be lucky to have him, as we are with moran.

delighted to have them back,its 4 easy points for us(only joking widnes fans)..they`ve got 3 years to improve and no doubt they`ll make a better fist of it than some super league teams..
