Good to see that so many people enjoyed Gaslight Anthem. I saw first saw them supporting Springsteen at Hard Rock Calling in 2009. Totaly awesome gig, with Brian from Gaslight Anthem coming onto sing "No Surrender" with The Boss.

Brian Fallon did that with his support act at the Apollo, called Chuck Ragan on to sing '59 Sound. |

V Good indeed. I went to see them when they headlined at Maine Rd in '91 (I went to see the Stranglers, who were disappointing) and I was very impressed. Good voice, good musicianship, good live act.

You are correct, LG. Those 2 acts did complete the line up.
Voice of the Beehive lead singer (in American accent, after 3 songs, to a bunch of "well oiled" young men) "what are you guys singing...get yer t1t5 out for the lads"
OMD, came on stage, and within the first 10 seconds, one of their keyboard players had played 3 bum notes...not good. Felt sorry for McClusky (OMD not my cup of tea at all), backed up by crap, but still busted a gut.
The Stranglers really hacked me off . Hugh Cornwell had just left and they showcased virtually a whole new album, to a crowd of 30,000+, with only playing a handfull of their classics. Strange decision. |
