Dallam, Longford or Orford?
I'd like to wager they are from there.

I wouldn't like to comment or besmirch the good people of those areas. They were supporting Warrington however.

| You know when the "stand up if you ..." chant goes up, and you are sitting down. I often feel like I can't win. Stand up and I'm a sheep easily led by suggestion, remain seated and I feel lazy "disloyal" under-fan. It's odd.

you should start a "sit down if you.." chant to confuse the masses.

I know exactly what you mean. I followed the chant once, and was promptly abused from behind (not literally), and told to sit down as they couldn't see. Still, not as bad as the guys who sit behind me in VP section, who insist i sit down when somethings happening, such as breaking the line, going the length of the field, or god forbid i get excited and stand up when we score... Still, 3 years on, and i think they've got the message that i'm not listening.

what you need to do, is simply leave the seat pointed up and just perch on the edge of it therefore giving a halfway position, so you're almost stood up and just a bit of pressure away from sitting down.
Better known as the "at the movies during 30 minutes of adverts" position.

I agree. Brief standing up is legitimate on the occurrence of either a half break, run greater than 20m, try or biff. Or any combination of the above. Typically though it's because someone in front stands and causes the 'domino effect'.

LOL. I was thinking of attending the game in a wheel chair to avoid the whole, damn, conundrum.

They were from Warrington. End of.
Ian, the fella I was on about was bald/shavenheaded, rather well built/portly and had a tight fitting away 2008 shirt on and a baseball cap.

LOL. That narrows it down to about 75-100. It's the Warrington classic. That and skanky, acne ridden, callow youths with trackies firmly in off-white socks and baseball caps set at an ever so jaunty angle

Might be the same guy.
I don't want to turn this into a witch hunt more than I already have but he was a bit of a bell. I'm with 71 on the 'stand up' chant - I'm not bothered about being labelled a sheep, more that I don't want to be associated with some of our cretinous support.
[And whilst we're not on the subject <thread drift> I thought Mathers had an excellent game yesterday. Quite why anyone would get on the lads back is beyond me.]
Back on topic, it is also worth noting that a lot of our supporters are fantastic and I'm proud to be associated with them. As usual, there is just the odd one who makes us all look like a complete Peter Fox.
