| Hull has a great pack but their backs carry about as much a try scoring threat as an out of form Dean Gaskell.

And the one back they have that looks like being a threat has been dropped. Hall.

| But they beat Saints at Knowsley Road, something we couldn't do with or without Gaskell.

| This is one of those games where I get this weird sensation in my stomach, you know, as if I know we should win, and win big, but yet I feel like we're going to get turned over, especially after Salford coming off a big result against Hull.
Then again, it could just be my usual pessimistic side showing.....

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |
|
| Steady on, we shouldn't be taking ANYTHING for granted. I remember easter a few years ago, we were playing the smelies and everyone knew we were going to hammer them...we all know what happened.
If we win, it will show just how far we have come.

| Think you`ve every right to feel confident about turning us ( Salford) over on friday, your a different propostion this season. Must admit after our performance against Hull yesterday I`m not dreading visiting your place quite as much as I was.
Here`s to messing your easter weekend up with a bit of luck.

Others/NA.JPG
I reckon Salford's fans are the friendliest i've come across and haven't got a bad word to say about them[/quote:inve33bl][/size:inve33bl]
Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

| Salford's confidence will be up after a morale-boosting win against Hull.
However, last time they won (against Harlequins) they went out the week after and got thoroughly humped by a very average Wakefield.
My predictions;
- Wire to win by at least 50
- Briers to get MoM and kick Salford to death
- Myler to be booed throughout by Salford fans
- Myler to score at least 4 tries
- Shaun McRae to say that he's taking lots of positives out of the game?!

| Funniest thing going into this game is how different my expectations are. Usually, its a feeling like this .... does everyone remember MarioKart 64? Well Wire are sometimes lets say the Princess, and Salford (especially Littler etc) are Bowzer and we're right on their tail but then suddenly the son of a biatch drops a banana skin! Thats what it has felt like so many times.
But on evidence of this season, and lets forget their victory over Hull who were very poor on Saturday, I can't see anything other than a bit of a schlonging in our favour. Its pants down for the city of Salford, especially if weather supports us.

You are spot on there mate. If it's dry we could be looking at putting 60 on them.

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| It's a hoary old cliche but we should not take Salford lightly. Haven't they ruined enough Good Fridays in the past for us to have respect for them? Don't get me wrong, I think they're a bit rubbish but it doesn't mean they can't beat us - we're not exactly Jack Gibson's Parammatta side just yet.
As if nearly always the case in SuperLeague - if we're not totally switched on, we'll get done over, simples.

- Salford to win by 6
- Salford fans to chant "Salford reject! Salford reject!" at Myler
- Wire fans to question whether Myler is up to the job of directing the team
- Mathers to make two howlers near his own line
- Salford fans outside the ground to be their usually gracious selves in victory
- Tony Smith to say it was a reminder that there are no easy games in SL
- Forum full of threads after the match about a) the ref b) Mathers
- A reliable source to tell someone on this forum after the match something which they can't repeat on the forum but which might explain why we were so bad

| I was impressed with the passing in Salfords tries against Hull some good offloads.
Its normal to expect us to slip up as things have been going so well, I had a bad feeling before the Cru game then Bradford and then Wakey.
