| We'll go there, win by a clear 25 pts, not concede after the first 15 mins.

| Last night when we were four scores up with five to go, I said I'd just about relax if we were in that position next week.

I agree. A lot of teams seem to bottle it against Leeds and I don't know why because they've been playing the same kind of RL for years so you'd think all teams would have them worked out by now.
Mind you, I'd be amazed if Saints beat Leeds this season!

| Individual games don't matter at this part of the season. If we get to September and we've only lost four or five games, then it won't matter if those losses were against St Helens, Salford, Leeds or Quins. What then matters is that we beat St Helens and Leeds in the play offs.

| Massive test. Forget the fact that Saints are without Long etc, because on their day, give them a sniff and they'll still schlong you!
I really hope we can win this. It'll add even more confidence to an already brimming bunch of players. We'd be 4 points ahead of them, possibly top, and I honestly feel it could influence a real long term challenge to win this league in 2010.

That's exactly how I felt after the Wigan game. Yeah, we lost against a big rival in our own backyard by only 2 points, and thus Wigan ended their hoodoo.............but it was only round 3 and the season was still young.
Now, we're level on points but with only a -9 points difference on Wigan and have won our last 3. It's still wide open.

| Tell you what I am doing though..........ignoring all these Saints fans or other clubs fans who are saying it's our time, we'll batter them etc, they've got all these players out, you must beat them.

| Quote: SaintsFan "do[/i acknowledge good things that the opposition do. There were a lot of Saints fans clapping on two occasions last night (including me) when the Crusaders scored because they scored two fantastic tries in the second half. You won't find many Saints fans not acknowledging at some point where the opposition went right.
However, that still doesn't stop us analysing our own weaknesses, which you guys do as well. We were lucky to win last night because in the second half Crusaders upped their game and our defence went to pieces (and after Pryce went off injured, so did our attack). Those are facts, whether the Crusaders played well or otherwise. As it happened, they played well and got into their stride in the second half. They will just get better, so long as they aren't undermined by injuries.'"
Well I only caught the tries in the Crusaders game and, of course, all generalisations are subject to exceptions, but, unless you've never seen a KR game on TV, you have to accept that there is more booing from the home fans than at any other SL ground.

Actually, I disagree. There was a fair bit of booing from the Wire fans last night. I think all fans boo the ref when he makes a decision they don't like or that is patently wrong and against their team. Saints fans are no different from any other set of fans in this respect.
If you had been at Knowsley Road on Friday night and had asked the Saints fans what they thought of Crusaders and the match they gave us, especially in the second half, you would have heard a lot of compliments to the Crusaders side and a fair bit of criticism of the Saints players who presumably decided that they didn't have to bother defending anymore as it was all in the bag. Or something. Thankfully, Kyle was wiser than that and dropped a goal to save us.

| Will have to look to quick play the balls and make sure the ruck is clean when defending because if Silverwood referees this game like he did in the WCC, there will be penalties galore. He'll try and pick up on every little thing like he normally does, so I hope we don't give him an excuse to blow up every 2 minutes.

As I said, there are exceptions, but there is a well-known RL expression along the lines of 'Saints fans would boo their grandmas' which hasn't become common parlance without some cause. Fans do boo the ref, but Saints fans constantly boo the opposition for flat passes ( 'cause they didn't get a forward decision from the ref - and don't start me on shouts of 'forward' at Saints - ) tackles and PTBs, etc etc.

| The way I see it, we've nearly won there a few times under Cull, when we couldn't defend for toffee. Now, we're awesome, it's a formality.
Tough ask for Saints this one, if they can't beat us in the first 20 mins they're buggered as all teams in SL now know, Warrington don't concede again after the twenty minute mark, awesome.

Don't forgot with Lowes last season we blew a 14 point lead.
