I was thrown off by the line on the pitch, as it wasn't 'head on' straight, it was more diagonal, and Smith looked 'head on' level, which, in relation with the 10 metre line, looked to be in front to me.

Makes no odds, though, if you're good enough on the day, one decision won't hurt and Saints weren't good enough for me.

It was offside. I was watching in a pub in Leeds(hardly impartial) and not one person thought it was onside. Nor did anybody think the Eastmond try was a knock on either.

It does tickle me, those irrefutably stating it was one way or another. The guy who had all the angles, with the ability dissect every moment thought it was onside.

Those of us watching through beer goggles or our soopa 40" flat screen TVs, aren't really in a position to be definitive.
