| Law of averages says we have to get to a final this decade.
4 Semi finals, Surely we have to win one of them.
There are a lot of players from both teams that have played in big games.
If you look across the team we have grand final winners from NRl and SL, perhaps we have more players with finals under their belt than at any other time in the last 15 years. Wigan have this plus a world cup winner.
However all this means nothing.
Wire 19 - Wigan 16.
What was the last decade when we failed to reach a major final(Including Regal / JP trophy)? Was before my time anyhow.
I didnt want to remind myself of some of the defeats to wigan in Semi's / Finals over the last 25 years but as the game gets closer the memories are coming back.
If we dont win I just hope the game does this great sport some justice and proves to be a cracker.

| Warrington pack dominate up to about the hour mark to see them 6 - 12 up.
Briers DG pushes them out to 6 - 13.
Then as Warrington fade Wigan score out wide to get back to 10-13.
Into the last couple of minutes and Warrington look to be holding on for victory. Then Sam Tomkins breaks through the line and sends his brother racing away under the posts.
After the try is converted Warrington go for the short kick off and gain possession. A silly penalty gets them into Wigan's 20 and they pile on the pressure. Just as they look to get an overlap out wide the final pass to the winger goes to ground. The hooter sounds.
Final Score
Wigan 16 - 13 Warrington

| It is still 5 days away and I can't take the nerves already.
This will be a VERY close game, and I can't see the scoreline going into the twenties.
I've been very anxious about this game and at times I find myself thinking of Wigan winning, when my heart is telling me Wire will.
But I will be confident, with the packs that both teams have, I think we will just grab by a point, last minute drop goal from Briers to become our hero once again, just like at Craven Park.
Wigan 16 - 17 Wire

| Although our performances have improved recently, especially in defence, i still have grave concerns with regards to our attacking play. We still seem to go in to "panic mode", when we are in sight of the oppositions try line and planned moves "seem" to go out of the window. (Everything just seems a little too "off the cuff", for my liking). I do think that Wigan too, suffer from much the same problem in attack, but their defence could win it for them, it just seems that little more "drilled" and "organised" than ours. For that reason, i think that Wigan will win by a 14pt margin, "but"...Stop Tomkins and it "Will" be a different story, their attack it heavily reliant on him, stop him and you will stop Wigan. (Maybe all out team should adopt his "third man in" attacking the knee, tackling technique, when he is caught in possession. Whats good enough for the goose an all that)? Nullify him and wire will win by 6pts, but all in all, should be a very tight game, the winners of this have a very good chance of lifting the trophy, because i honestly think that Hudders will do the St`s in the other semi!!
