Not sure about a raw nerve fella, missed a few this season I admit and on the otherhand went to Edinburgh, Quins, Barca. I just get tired of all this fan/supporter crap. In my view you are as good as the last game you attend.

Well, as it was free entry but you could join the supports trust for a fiver, all of them should have been.

This has, as usual, been blown out of proportion and taken out of context. He was not criticising a particular section of Warrington fans. It was more generic than that about expectations and how you accept defeat in sport.

The man is so laid back, yet focussed; relaxed, yet challenging.

And surely those who brag about how many matches they attend, and suggest others aren't such good fans would be members....

BTW So it was not mandatory to join the ST last night in order to attend the meeting?? Perhaps the trust should consider this. A fiver for a year long membership is a derisory amount for what you get in return.

train ticket if i book over 3 weeks in advance £66 return plus £17 entry isn't that bad for me but i work all Fridays so the Friday matches are out of the question.
I have a 26 week rota which gives me 10 Saturdays out of 26 off and 12 Sundays.
Not always falling on a home fixture. If it's a local derby match away i can stay with family.
If it's a Saturday away fixture the late kickoff means i need a hotel for the night which i don't really want to do

So Fridays are out of the question
Late Away games except derbies out the question

So then i have to hope that a game falls on the weekend i have off and doesn't conflict with the bold type

So when im told that im not a good supporter by some (which i do) it F---s me off.
As i say to anyone who meets me who asks what i miss about not living up north anymore my reply is always 'my mates and the wire' not even the family come into it.

Hear hear. Just ignore them Yed. These fans that comment on fan superiority are guilty (together with the club at times sadly) in thinking that the fan base reside within a 3 mile radius of the half-way line.

This sort of thing was discussed at the AGM.

Let me reiterate. That was no the point TS was making. His point was about long views, the ups and downs of sport etc

I think you had to be there to be fair, It's difficult as you're not quoting him word for word, and there's no context. He wasn't having a pop at folk at all, in fact, I think it was more a generalisation of sports fans all together rather trying to segment our fanbase.

Absolutely agree, the point I think he was trying to make, was we aren't going to win every game, and yes we will have 'flat' performances, it happens - thats what happens in sport (I think is what he said), and yes EVERY Club will have its share of 'fans' and 'supporters' (you decide what you want to differentiate between the two).
Either way, I couldn't help feeling he was making a point about what happened 'previously', and wanted to draw a line under it.

Loved his comments to Adam Neal that 'you must not percieve yourself as not being part of the 1st Team, otherwise that is where you will stay'

The fact he stated that he spends more time on the 'mental coaching, and a reward style of coaching' to me spoke volumes. Think and act like winners, and you never know...

I personally found last night, very refreshing, and certainly TS is clearly not a Coach anyone is going to mess around with, as the path to the door will be shown very quickly.
Can't see him out on the raz with the players, apart from when we lift a Trophy, and even then I think he will keep a distance, he is Head Coach after all.

Felt good after last night, and really do feel we have someone who will bring a whole new dimension to Warrington.

Oh and I'll be increasing my monthly Squadbulder payments as well, as believe in what they are doing.
