we live in a democracy so everyone is entitled to freedom of speech whether or not you agree with what they are saying.the protesters who stopped nick griffin entering manchester town hall are just typical of the protesters who appear to protest at whatever there is to protest about!
these people talk about freedom and democracy and then act in the manner that they are supposedly fighting against.
the ukip party always do well in european elections as they did last time but in the following general election they still only polled 2% of the overall vote.
what i find startling is that all the expense money illegally claimed by mp's from all partys looks likely to just be forgotten about.i therefore suggest that we all take a job with a large corporation and break the law in as many ways as possible stealing money that we are not entitled too because you will not be prosecuted for doing so or is this only true when it's the taxpayers money.
yes,it's a fine democracy we live in isn't it.

Surprised people actually went out of their way to vote in the 1st place, especially the biggest gravy train of the lot-The Europeon Union. They are only in it for themselves and could'nt give a toss about anyone else.Have a look in the guardian for the bloke from Stockton Heath, being investigated to the tune of £500,000.

I've only ever voted once (87),but as far as I'm concerned, people can vote for whoever they want,be it the Taliban or the National Front, its their choice. But I can see where the BNP are coming from and if you think times are bad now, just wait till Turkey gets into the EU and they will.

The poster who mentioned our forefathers and what they did is correct.A lot believed in what they were doing was the right thing, but a lot went to both wars, not through choice, but through fear of being shot for cowardice.

Quote: Albino Wolf 2 "Our forefathers fought on the beaches of Normandy and in many other countries and places as well to secure our rights and freedom of speech and enable us to live in a society where we have options and choices.

We still have that and whilst you may disagree with other peoples options and choices it is nothing whatever to do with you and none of your business to critisise or judge.

It's people like you that our forefathers fought to keep us from!

Why on earth you should want to bring it up on a RL message board is totally beyond me'"

Newsflash, there have been O/T threads in the past.

I'm not disagreeing with the right of people to vote for the party they feel best suits them. This, along with freedom of speech is one of the principles of democracy.

I'm just expressing my disappointment that the people of the North of England have voted in a racist political party. The reaction of members other parties walking out upon hearing the results, gives you an inkling that they might not be a run of the mill political organisation.

So 'our forefathers' fought to keep us from tolerant people like me. icon_rolleyes.gif

The problem with democracy is that most of its 'educated' advocates regard their democratic choices as superior to those with lesser education. So they decide which are acceptable democratic views and which aren't.

We live in a democratic society of which a substantial proportion have views that are racist, or at least against immigration. You can't advocate democracy on one hand then get upset when people are exercising their democratic views. All the BNP are doing is representing the views of the people who voted for them, those people had those views for many years before, they just didn't have representation.

I fully respect any person's freedom of speech....Just not sure why a few of you seem to be condoning a political party whose main aim seems to be bringing in some sort of apartheid??... icon_confused.gif

I totally agree that the seemingly unrestricted opening of the UK borders to vast sections of the EU is a bewildering one....However, don't be fooled, the BNP stands for something a lot more sinister than simply tightening up those borders.

This Thread is ridiculous.. I dont support the BNP and All its Reasoning But this appointment might make the rest of the parties stand up and realize.
People are getting Annoyed with the stream of people wating at calais to get in the country? Why dont they stay in france? Germany? anywhere else? . cos the UK is so sodding soft , we give them money and somewhere to live all this time us workers are paying for this. I dont care if people call me racist but this massive influx of asylum seekers needs to stop and quick icon_rolleyes.gif

That is an excellent point but it does form one of the classical A Level Politics questions.

I often think SEB would like to vote on behalf of most of us, what with his superior intellect an all. icon_wink.gif

Honest question - have you read the BNP Manifesto or formed your opinion based on that of others?

The Voting card should have a none of the above box to tick...
If that option was there i would have ticked that box...Instead i just didn't bother to vote...

And both my grand fathers fought in the war, they'd be disgusted if they could see the state of the country now...

I wouldn't wipe my ar$e with one of their manifestos.... icon_cool.gif

To be honest, the fact they are led by a man who refuses to acknowledge the atrocities of the Holocaust, sort of forms my low opinion of him and his rabble... icon_wink.gif

It may lend more credibility to your argument if you read the manifesto though surely? I did, they are not for me, but I agree with a number of their policies.

The Holocaust issue is too complex for the likes of this board. There are many people who suggest the Holocaust repurcussions were used by political Jewish movements to justify Israel, and the atrocities committed therein. But as I said, not for this board. More to it than meets the eye though.
