Ive just been on to have a read. Absolutely laughable. I agree with ratticus, my hatred for them is 100 times stronger than it even was for wigan in the 80s! In fact, if its a wigan/saints grand final i have told my pie eating colleague i'll be coming with him, donning a wigan shirt and cheering as loudly for a wigan win as i would for any wire victory. Its winding me up even talking about them, i am going for a lie down

Id take MUCH MUCH more pleasure beating them in a final than i would Wigan or anyone else....and before they come on bleating about there being little chance of that....when was the last time they beat us in a BIG game? 2-0 to us in recent times i believe....cue laughable moaning they were robbed in 2016 when they weren't, they were just beaten by the better side. I admire their club culture they're just an 'orrible lot and by that i mean every, single one of em...except Briers.

Compared to you lot I feel like a saint. Oops, didn't mean that.

I couldn't give a "stuff" about them. Never have, never will do.
I grew up in an era (early 80s) when we never played them on a "glamour day" i.e. Bank Holiday, and our attendance went up by a couple of hundred, when they visited. No where near the level of a vising Wigan, Widnes and even Leigh. To me, they're Salford, but with a Scouse postal address.

Yes, they're more successful than us, particularly in SL era, but so what. Leeds are, and we don't have a rivalry with them. Let 'em concentrate on Wigan.

They've got a right chip on their shoulders about us.

They are the main exponents of the "it's always your year" guff and even have a song about how long it's been since we were crowned Champions but the funny thing is they totally miss the fact that in their first 80 years as a club they won just one championship and no Challenge Cups.

They were absolutely nothing as a club before the mid 1950s and they'd been around eight full decades! I can't think of a club with a less successful period than that.

Before that change in the 1950s the big North West RL rivalry was Wire-Wigan, not Saints-Wigan. Saints weren't on anyone's radars until their 9th decade.

I went to the Saints Vs Catalan Play-off semi final (or was it quarter final... ) a few years back and I had the pleasure of stitting amongst the Sin'tellins faithful and my god... I've heard some drivel spouted in the south stand but nothing compared to what I was subjected to in that Poophole of a stadium. Not one person within a 50 seat radius had an effing clue what they were going on about. They reminded me of deluded Liverpool fans in the sense that if its not Liverpool its not worth talking about. Same with them, it was saints or nothing.

Shouting out random things like "come on ref he's just grabbed his arm!" or "These linesmen are useless... The ball only touched the sideline, it hadn't completely bounced out of the pitch" Unbelievable.
