| Brown is a good player but we definitely don't play to his strengths. Take him off last play options and have him looking for second phase plays rather than main plsys IMO. Patton offers more versatility on the bench which is why he was there but he needs to cut out basic errors (not the only 1).
We are crying out for a support runner, if only we had myler still or Darryl could add that to his game.

| The mercurial Kevin Brown and his remarkable repetitive up and under last tackle play. GET LOST!
Our new 'powerhouse' BMM drifting out wide and staying there. Lazy outhouse, already stealing a wage along with Brown.

| Continuing with Ratchford at full back two or three seasons after you should have signed a proper one.

| BMM was obviously not fit and skirting some work.
Game one Price make a fundamental error....DON'T PLAY INJURED PLAYERS...they almost always get found out.
BMM and Roberts and 5 mins of Patton were pure evidence of a principal basic as long as the game is old.

| Oh it's good to be back, isn't it ladies and gents?
Ler's see. Pessimism? Hughes - still a million miles away from being what we need. He puts the brakes on our attack more effectively than any opposition player.
Russell - still not, never was, never will be a RL winger. Enough, please.
But perhaps the real reaon for pessimism is that two new coaches, with freah ideas, no agenda and no baggage, STILL believe these lightweights are starting 13 material. THAT should be a concern for everyone.

| Hmm thats my problem. They consider ratchford no 1, westwood over livett and Hughes over ANYBODY. It's concerning.

It's up to Jack Johnson to sort out Ratchford and although I thought Hughes at least tried tonight and looked better than last year, surely Akauola being fit and Luis Johnson kicking on will see Westwood and Hughes out/under pressure?

| no reasons......... i expect 6th or 7th position and we'll get it
i guess the one reason for pessimism is there were 11 thousand there tonight, and playing that style of rugby is going to send those numbers tumbling as the season goes on.
its hilarious that people expect that pack to finish high up the league its our worst for decades.....
enjoy your season by not expecting much......

Are you just ripping Hughes for rip sake because he was actually okay tonight and put a top reverse pass that Atkins (I think) couldn't finish.

| Hughes wasn’t bad. We looked stupid tonight yet actually conceded only one try due to bad denfensive structure. The other two coming from uncontested kicks. If that ball to Westwood in the 80th had gone to someone else we may have seen a win. That’s despite us being clear second best to the champions.
We’ve got improvement in us. Looking at how Saints transformed themselves in the super 8s there’s no reason we can’t do the same. Let’s see what happens by the split.

| How Brown made the England squad in front of Mark Sneyd is beyond me Mark was out standing tonight fantastic kicking game and again How does Ratchford play international football he can not tackle he makes so many errors which put his team mates under pressure if you make 8th spot you will do well too many aging plays and fancy dans sorry but totally underwhelmed by that performance and it was a good time to play Leeds there usually a bit undercooked at the start !

Are you still confident of 5 wins from first 6?
