| I was quite impressed with some of the work that Ratchford did from dummy half in France. For this game i would give Clark the starting hooker role with Ratchford coming off the bench. I would also have Cox, King and Philbin on the bench too. It gives TS a bit of flexibility with his changes and also gives Brad Dwyer a rest before the Easter games.
Just a thought

| I'm giving Atkins and Julien the cut from that. Reckon it will be Evans and Philbin though.

A good thought thou.
Brad can then play against the Smellies & Hull with Daryl & Ratch a game each from the two.
With Daryl & Ratch both back against Wigan at the Piedome.
But as I said in my earlier post I'm dumbfounded as to which way TS will go.

That was my 2nd option on the 'v Cas' thread.
Still think he'll go with 2 forwards on the bench - King and Cox

| Looking at the Guardian this morning, Ratchford will be on the bench with a view to covering the loose forward position.
Dare say some on here will be happy.

| Why drop Atkins? He's been playing well. The weaker of the two centres is Evans by a long way, yet he is untouchable because he came through our system. I just don't get it.
Watch every try this season and check how many are because Evans shoots out without reason to do so. The Duport one this week is a prime example, races in to a man marked by Gidley leaving Carney with a 3 on 1?! Todd Carney! The guy who was probably in ALL of the video analysis all week of who to not give space too!
He did the same at Salford for the Griffin try and at home to Wakefield for the try in the North-East corner (forget the scorers name)
Atkins has been strong, scores tries and makes big tackles (see the shot on Dave Taylor for evidence)
I don't buy this passing argument either, as Evans isn't setting the world alight for Lineham.
If any centre goes, it's Evans

| I would go with:
Matty Russell
Tom Lineham
Rhys Evans
Ryan Atkins
Kev Penny
Kurt (MOS) Gidley
Chrissy Sandow
Chris Hill
Daryl Clark
Ashton Simms
Ben Currie
Jack Hughes
Joe Westerman
Subs:
Steph Ratchford - Cover for Daryl and backs
Jordan Cox - Prop Interchange
George King - Prop Interchange
Joe Philbin - Back Row cover
I dont see any reason to change the backs at this time. Atkins has played quite well since his return from injury.
Rhys needs to temper that instinct to jump out of the line to try and prevent the over lap. It worked well against Leeds but it has enabled the opposition to go in a few time since. I am sure TS would have noticed this and coached him accordingly.

Recent games might suggest that he got lucky against Leeds rather than it worked well.
Julien and Philbin to miss out (though I would rather one of those on the bench with Ratchford playing at centre).

Or maybe our opponents have access to one of those video thingamybobs that Barbed Wire was on about so rather than lucking out against Leeds, Evans needs to tone it down a bit?
Overall, I wouldn't be unhappy with kLw's team selection at all but if Julien or Philbin got the nod I wouldn't be gutted either. With Westwood, Harrison Laithwaite and Evans the larger to throw into the mix at some point in the future....interesting times without wishing to put the mockers on anyone's recovery?

| If Ratchford is fit, Smith will always find a spot for him.
