| The visitors only bringing a couple of hundred doesnt help though. At least Hull had the excuse that nobody likes the M62 on a Friday night.

And the Club eventually dies and Folds ... Yeah Great logic is that .
Crowds are down at every super league club this year apart from widnes and Wakey , maybe it coulld be just down to the poor economy and poor structure of the regular season competition .

| The Hull game was down due to it being a Friday, and also it was difficult for Hull fans to travel. I believe it was made even worse due to a motorway accident that night as well.
I expect yesterday was down due to fans being on holiday, and Salford didn't bring many.

That is such a stupid, warped and egotistical outlook. What does one have to do and dress like to become an elite supporter like yourself? At Twickenham there was about 150 of us there last year. I presume you wanted the same number sat behind the sticks at Wembley the following week?
For mine, it is down to the economy, complete lack of marketing (well said the chap who wrote into the Guardian) and this fallacy held by some that the regular season doesn't matter.

Once the flags are up it will bring back some of the waiverers.
Seriously, your passion can't be denied, but, you have to accept that yours is not the only way. Each to their own on match days and if there is a younger element that want to be there just to be with their mates/girls then that's their business surely?
You seem to be angry about most things these days apart from when someone is agreeing with you about the cost of printing a poem on a P&B 'bedsheet'

| We still haven't played Wigan, Leeds, Widnes or Hull KR (they always bring 222,000 to every away match).
We played Saints and Hull on TV, and coming from Hull on a Friday night when the M62 is blocked is going to have an affect.
So, the average will go back up when we play those teams without a doubt, even if the Wigan game is on a Monday.
As for glory hunters, and/or kids at the games - we need them, they are vital to survival - without them we would average 7 or 8K every week max - in fact, I would say we need to double the glory hunters by another cup run, or do promo game deals where kids get in for £2 or something, get them through the doors - how else do we expect to get new blood in the ground - annoying young lads and girls will turn into 20 something season ticket holders one day - I've been there done that (all be it 30 years ago................... )

| The club needs to realise people won't just turn up blindly to games every week without a 'call to action'. Marketing is needed.

I don't live in the town or local area but from the outside this my impression. We don't seem to do much pro-active promotion for games.
We have a big cup quarter final coming up - in the last round Huddersfield did a big promotion for a televised game and got over 10k. Why aren't we doing the same? We're just putting the game on and hoping 5 - 7k turn up.
This isn't just Warrington though - I think all SL clubs are guilty of it. The only club with any pro-activity seems to be Wigan with the Big Game promotions. We should be doing the same.
Happy to be corrected if this is unfair as I as said earlier don't live in the area so may be missing some of the activities.

All the more reason for a maarketing push then! The club seems to have lost its way a little with this of late.

| A change to the current structure/ format of the play off's will improve attendances as fans will view every game as important. You will also find a lot of fans saving their money for the potential of SF and Finals...I don't blame them for that.

| ..but playoff attendances are even worse than league rounds, so it blows the theory that fans are saving themselves for important games right out the water.
The club need to do more. The "build it and they will come" theory isn't working.

You are spot on, it is something I have been ranting about for ages now. All clubs are guilty of it, we hear fans constantly complain that the RFL don't promote the game but generally I feel they couldn't do much more; the responsibility lies with clubs to promote their own games. Wigan's 'big one', Huddersfield v Leeds, even Hunslet v Batley the other week proves that sensible and well thought out marketing campaigns work.
