| Every player makes mistakes, it's part and parcel of the game.
If there's one thing about Richie you cannot question it is his commitment.

| If he has been linked to this.
Richie every one has a bad game, you have had a good fair share of good games and made some try/game saving tackles.
Keep your head up and good luck and remember once a Wire always a Wire unless you're Martin Gleeson

| Ah take no notice Mr Mathers. In a game where there were lots of dropped ball, thats nothing to go by. The try saving tackles alone were enough to prove the lads commitment.

| I am not ashamed to say that in the heat of the moment during the match last night I had a few choice words/ thoughts about Mathers myself. I am certain Mathers will have been equally hard on himself in his own mind after some of the errors he made.
However after watching it back and re-watching certain parts today it is clear that his good aspects by far outweigh the bad.
Even if he had the worst game in the world last night, at this crucial stage in the season when the coach obviously has a lot of time for him then surely the best thing to do is get behind him to help get him back on top form (see the great matches he had which followed the announcement on Hodgson signing).
Rugby league is a team sport, and I can only see Mathers bouncing back from what was at worst a "below par" performance last night.

| Danny Irwin tit of the highest order, why ruin Mathers day and a fair few fans when we have just won, imagine having the joy of winning a game, going for a couple of drinks after the match with the buzz that comes with it, then next day logging on the pc to find that tripe from YOUR OWN FANS.
Danny, did you not see RM take every single high ball put to him and in those conditions were everyone was dropping the ball left right and centre ?
He even tidied up a Morley, yes MORLEY ! dropped ball from kick off

| All I'll say is look at his/her background, typical Tory trash - always looking to blame and blame even when thing's are going well.
I think someone has taken Cameron's nickname of 'Chameleon' to heart a bit too much, changing opinion here, there and everywhere.
Mathers has had a very solid season, probably one of the best in his career and from occasionally reading his Tweets, he seems like someone who has loved playing for Warrington Wolves and moreover loves the Sport. He had 1 bad game - That's life Sunshine.

| 1 word dannyirwin - dobber!
I've been a critic myself of Mathers this year, but I agree with an earlier post, his good drastically outweighs the bad. Wish he stayed on to be honest! Anyone who says they don't make mistakes or have an off day, take a look again pal!

| Dont think he got enough credit for the tackle on Richards
and his presence forced Carmont towards the touchline
towards the end,Brett Hodgson also makes mistakes
but his plus plays outweigh his minus ,same as Richie
Mathers and most of the full backs in super league.
Cant help thinking if real names were used instead of
usernames on forums half the slagging off would stop,
while everyone has a right to an opinion some of it is
just unnecessary .

| Warrington player or not, can't believe the support for Mathers. He gifted Richards a try by looking at the defender before he caught the ball (unforgivable) and then nearly another score for Farrell by making an utterly embarrassing attempt to pick up a ball on the floor, a technique that is executed better by junior players.
He was very lucky with his covering 'tackles' as well, in fact he completely misses Carmont and it is only the strength of Carmonts hand-off that sends himself into touch. Not much better against Richards either and not forgetting the poor attempt at tackling Tuson.
Warrington can and have done better with the signing of Hodgson. Pity he isn't here now.
