The jist of it is that only North and South were supposed to be open with the disabled being in the North, the East was then opened (decided midweek) but the disabled still in the North, the woman changed her season ticket at the clubshop she was given East Stand, she entered the East stand and was told that the disabled area was locked and it will remain that way.

She was eventfully moved to the North after some choice words but was still annoyed in which the stewards and the Warrington suite's spoke to her.

You are right, the club offer no remorse whatsoever. All they could manage was "...which the club totally apologises for".

Im 100% certain that the person who spoke to her in this manner would have spoken to an able bodied person in exactly the same way.

They have apologised for the message not being given out properly, not to the woman. They haven't apologised for there staff speaking to the woman in such a bad manner.

i saw a disabled guy 1st season at hj when players used to high 5 around the pitch at the end barge his way through the crowd in his chair and phyically back hand two kids who happened to be my friends kids as you can imagine i had a few choice words with him. My point is some disabled people use their disability as an excuse not saying it's the case here but s like him do

You treat disabled people in just the way the majority of us want to be treated, we just want equality not special treatment and I was horrified when I read that in the League Express.

The area behind the billboards that she is talking about being unsuitable with boards you cannot see over and is dangerous is the area used by Warrington for away disabled fans. I've been there many times and okay you get a lot of foot traffic walking backwards and forwards in front of you but in no way is it unsuitable or dangerous, its average from a spectators point of view really but you can see over the boards and apart from when the players get very close or go to the other end of the pitch you can see all the action.

I agree that nobody knows what was said by either party as we were not there but I tend to find that if I am reasonable so are Stewards and everyone else around me, that is from my experience as a wheelchair user who has followed RL for a lot of years.

It would have been better to have discussed this with Warrington by putting her complaint in writing and had she not had a response she was happy with to have written or mailed the RFL or us at the RLDSA. As it is we can't help as she has gone public and made any disabled wheelchair user who visits Warrington feel very put off attending and concerned for their safety if they do by stating the area pitchside in unsuitable and dangerous.

Needless to say we are not all like that by any means, the majority are reasonable friendly RL supporters like everyone else.

I really wonder what was said that was so unreasonable and what was said to provoke that response, we will never know as we were not there.

Also all Clubs now have a Disabled Fans Liaison Officer who really should have been the first port of call and this should really have been the first thing Warrington did in response to this ladies actions on the day, the DLO's should be available on game days. It would have saved them some hassle.

Wasn't there a move at one time to remove all disabled entrances immediately after Keef the (BNP)eef fell off that bridge in France. So my sources tell me.

Funny you should be on about the stadium manager. I'm currently in debate with him about not letting my daughter (aged 5) in with a fold up stool when the said item does not contravene the ground regulations (he posted me a copy) in any way.

If she isn't in a wheelchair why does she want to go on the disabled platform

The DSLO at Warrington is the Stadium Manager, who you have probably spoken to on a number of occasions, and as far as I am aware spoke to the lady on the day of the game.

It was her mother who was in the wheelchair, she was her carer.
