| He spoilt the 2nd Half by giving WAY too many penalties, half of which left us asking "what was that for"!

two things that annoyed me yesterday, riley getting penalised for pushing a player off the tackle after a quick break, i know you're not supposed to do it but it happens at least once a game and it never ever gets penalised unless it's something really stupid or over zealous.
and in the first half near the south stand on the W40 someone lay behind the ptb not getting up, wire drop the ball backwards and kr player is still coming back and dives on the ball, no penalty, silverwood looks and gets no help from the merry flag waver.
very very annoying.

| I was more frustrated with the decision in the 1st Half to award a 20 metre restart, despite the In Goal Judge blatantly signalling a Drop Out.
The IG Judge was far better positioned than Silverwood to judge the incident but still Silverwood ignored him.
We know he loves to ignore the rules but now he chooses to ignore his fellow team of officials.

| According to one Hull KR fan I know, Silverwood was bent and wanted Warrington to win the game.

| Poor decision on Harrison too. Said he knocked on when it clearly hit his knee only. Again no help at all from the touch judge.
Actually having watched a few games on Sky this last 2 weeks and our own am questionning whether the refs are letting off sides go a little. Stanley Gene was never onside the whole game.

| Could somebody please explain how we started a set of six from a knock-on from where we picked the ball up (invariably further towards our own try line than where the knock-on took place), yet when the same happened, HKR were awarded a scrum?
We a good few metres in the negative on numerous occasions.

I noticed one of those close to our line; you are supposed to cross the advantage line from where the knock-on happened and if not a scrum should be formed.

| Couple of things I found strange from him. Firstly in the first half when Cockayne failed to take a bomb in the first half, the in-goal judge signalled that he had played at it and it should be a drop out. Silverwood was way back and behind play, and over-ruled the in-goal judge who was about 2metres away. What is the point of him being there?
Also, on numerous occasions yesterday he blew the whistle, walked over slowly to where the offence took place, spoke to players, and then gave the signal. This was frustrating, and he doesn't usually do it, so God knows why he started now, as you just couldn't tell what he was going to give. The signals are partly there for the benefit of the fans, so I don't understand why he was doing this. There was a couple of occasions where you thought he was blowing for a knock on, but then signalled a penalty a good 10 seconds later.

I think he has learnt to ask for permission first before giving details out to all and sundry.

Quick taps are allowed as long as all the offensive players are onside, and the ref is in position.

I didn't think that they were anymore. Keep hearing about this 'controlled restart'.

This frustrates me enormously - these guys run up and down all afternoon and don't do a damned thing, just what is the pioint of them? May as well take their flags off them for all they do with them.
(Looking at one of the linesmen on Sunday, it looked like he was on work experience from school!! or is that just me getting older? )

| I watched from the North Stand as I took my little girl for the first time and I was sitting on the front Row.
I did here the touch judge talk to Silverwood but not much!!
They missed at least 4 Hull KR forward passes because the touch judge couldn't get in line with KR as he was more interested in watching us for offside...which I thought that Silverwood would surely do!!!!
Silverwood IMO is a SKY man.. he only bothers to be half decent when the camera's are on. Like a previous post he didn't even signal half the time as it looked like he couldn't be bothered!!!!!

That's what annoyed me when "Albert Riera" refereed us against Catalans! He hardly signalled to show what the penalties were for.
