Also i wonder what has happened to Max Wood,? played some really good games but has dropped out of favour and can't even get 18th man. Tom Whitehead was 18th man, so if he gets ahead of wood something is seriously off there.

Whitehead covers more bases, middle, 13, 6 probably that bit of versatility just gives him the edge

Did we ever get to the bottom of the ‘wow’ signing? Or did we lose out on whoever it was? Maybe with Saints’ money woes they need Simon or Stuart to take Welsby off their hands. I know McManus said they’ll still be spending the cap, but that could also be interpreted as not spending over it with the marquee salaries.

And before RobRiches has an aneurism, yes I’m just jesting on the Welsby idea… well I’m half-jesting. But seriously, send Simon’s accountant over. This Oasis reunion could buy us Nathan Cleary.

Welsby would make a decent deputy for Dufty and CTW.
