On a different note, has anyone heard about the former multi millionaire owner of Moonpig.com 'Nick Jenkins' offering to pay Simon Moran a large sum for Warrington RL, with Moran turning it down flatly?

I was talking to my lad about this last night. He hates the ground being called Halliwell Jones and thought Emirates is even worse. He calls it Wilderspool. I said you can't because Wilderspool is an area but he didn't care about that. We settled on calling the ground, The Winwick Road Stadium.

A few years back, I remember listening to Alan Beswick on GMR radio talking with fellow Warringtonian Maurice Flannigan, he was CEO at emirates airlines.

Perhaps the seeds of emirates interest in RL and Warrington was because of this connection??
