I'm easy on location, I'm in Finchley on friday so depending on where we go i can drive or overground

i'll be in the motherland on friday night but i'm well up for some ex-pat meet ups for future games

Gentlemen (and lady I think) sounds like we've got a plan. Now just to keep this thread handy till next season when I'm sure all our points of reference will be out of date. ALTHOUGH how many of you are likely to be going to the 4N's at Wembley? Actually that proabably deserves it's own thread closer to the time.

Hope this club is not exclusive to living 'Cockneys'. My son lives in Willesden Green, and if a weekend visit coincides with a match, it would be great to join in!

I know my pubs of London would hate to know how many I've been in but going off the beerintheevening pub map been in them all around soho/L Squire Cov garden. Some cracking pubs.

Agreed there are some great pubs around there. I always like the Nell of Old Drury.

I used to really like The Sun on Long Acre but it got a new Unionite manager who when the barman tried to put Wire - Wigan on the tele for me a couple of years back said - "we're not putting that Northern rubbish on".

It was the last time I ever went there needless to say and has now been 'renovated' and had candles on the table when I walked past the other day. A shame.



Anyway on to tonight - I'm really sorry I didn't get chance to pop into Connolly's last night but having checked the schedules apart from the 1 dayer there's no other sporting competition so I'm confident we'll get it on there. I'll try and call them today if I get chance just to confirm.

I'm in Bethnal Green - Monday to Friday. I can usually get to most Friday night home games (+ Wigan away) if the train is on time though I'm no stranger to the bloke on the "late gate". For any other Friday night away games covered by Sky I'd be happy to stop over in London to watch the Wire in action.



There may be a few veterans on here from the midweek Wire/Bradford drawn game a few years ago watched at the Orange Tree in Richmond. Hulse, Varkulis.........

I'm planning on being there. I've booked my train ticket - just hope I get a match ticket!



One thing I did think of is - if we do happen to get to the Grand Final and maybe win it. We could have a celebration in London - the following week.

If you could get the game on DVD even have a re-run of the match if a friendly pub / venue would show it.

However, let's not get ahead of ourselves but just an idea...thoughts?

good to see this happening again. i still have a flat in london, but am in jersey at the moment, so not around very often. i was at the orange tree in richmond for the bradford game, as mentioned by charlie.



i used to live in the oval, and the hanover arms just up from oval station was always too happy to put wire games on for me, just because me and my flatmate used to drink more beer watching them than the entire pub. if you drink, they will put anything you want on, and the land lord and land lady are big sports fans of any description so only to happy to have stuff on.



im a bit late to the party, i know, but its worth thinking about, especially for the south londoners amongst you.



and don't be put off by the outside, or the beer in the evening reviews of the hanover. absolutely nothing wrong with it, and the guinness is as good as any in london

I'm seriously considering starting a London supporters group, I'm going to look in to it, and try any avenues to getting started, may have to extend out to the whole rugby family (we are not football). Get a pub on board, getting a little package<s> together, and have all the RL fans of London in ONE pub Hmmm i'm liking the idea of this.

I didn't come in till post game but Connolly's is my local. I came in with a munster shirt on. Brendan the gaffer is keen on League and Sean Edwards uses it as his local too.
