| Assuming Mamo had a poor attitude, and I’m not sure a line of emojis is much proof, why didn’t the club know this when we signed him?

| Given how our current wage structure is, will we be squeezing in another prop what are peoples thoughts? Now that Magoulias has signed.
I certainly feel like we still need one. Although I’d rather us not lose Charnley tbh as Minikin is already sidelined for a long period, it will most likely leave us short of three quarters.
Does anyone know the status of Brand and Robson btw, have they been released or do they have another 12 months?

| Neither Brand nor Robson look good enough to me, cover only too. If they have anything about them they should want to be somewhere that they will play at their ages and stages of their careers. They need games and we can't realistically offer that to them unless we loan them out.
I can't understand why we want to ship Charney out, unless we need cap space. Is Eden still off contract? Wonder if that's linked to Charney being touted around?

I did hear second hand that Charnley's contract wasn't getting renewed so if he's only got a year left (I've no idea btw how long he's got) but it might be a case of seeing whether he can get 2 or 3 years somewhere decent or at least on decent terms
I wouldnt be unhappy if he stayed might get some service and his mojo back under Happy Darryl

He's still a good player and he works hard, maybe we would see more of the charnley we first signed with a much improved back row and a different playing mentality? If I was charnley I'd be rubbing my hands thinking about not having to take 2 carries per set in to a solid line of defenders! Also having a proper out and out centre to play outside of May appeal to him. We do have Ashton and Thewlis but absolutely nothing after that (to the best of my knowledge) with Minikin likely out for the start of the season.
We can't be touting charnley around without having somebody else lined up to come in surely?

| I know it’s a prop topic but the theme is Charnley.
All I can say about him, is he hasn’t had the best of partnerships, I thought we’d were on it with Gelling, but Gells screwed it up.
A winger is only as good as his centre or inside service.
Can we honestly say, Charnley has had a good run of service…I certainly can’t.
Let’s say he is still a Wire in 2022, who is going to be his centre?

Exactly I don't think our wingers have been used effectively under price. And when you look at the best centres of the SL eras they've all won trophies which is no coincidence. Matautia n king are better for wingers but I do think king has to really step up a gear this season was a little underwhelming last season but so was the entire team.

| It will be mata'autia or King either of those makes a good combination with Charney. Even better with Currie on the same flank. I'm quite happy with the startijg centres but think we lack depth in wing and centres really. One injury and we are struggling a bit, especially in the centres. Wing will be the same if we offload Charney and don't sign anyone else IMO.
Next year will hopefully be a far better year to be a winger or centre at warrington than the last 3 have been. I agree with Duckie Charnley has been wasted under the last regime. His scoring record when he just signed was brilliant for the first season, he's a really good winger.

I think Conor Wrench would be able to play wing in our 1st team at this stage pf his career.
He is very fast, has good footwork and is elusive.
Wane obviously sees his potential, with his recent selection in the England squad.
Centre does seem to be his position in the future, but for me he plays wing, if Charnley leaves.

He's our 2nd highest try scorer last year after Mamo. Imagine if he got quality ball in space more often.

Pretty sure wrench is only just learning his craft as a centre after being a backrow (happy to be corrected). So probably wouldn't be as easy for him to slot in out wide, since he's not a 3/4 by trade

Unless King or Matuatia are injured, he isn`t going to play in our 1st team next year at centre and he now requires regular game time.
You are correct, in that he played 2nd row for Warrington Academy initially, but he is now a 3/4, and has been selected as a travelling squad player for England as one.
At his age he should be able to move one position further out, especially with the coaching that Sheridan and Powell would provide.
