Agreed, UR. The season will come down to the play-offs, and then it's all about who has the healthiest squad, the fewest run-ins with the MRP, and plays best on the day. Whether or not that's Wire, who knows, but at least we are good enough and in with a shout. And considering it's one year to the day since we lost 42-6 to Wakefield, that's quite the turnaround.

Can’t argue with this. We are now in a position with some real quality youngsters and actually using them in the right way and giving them opportunities when it’s right. When Burgess didn`t sign his brother and allowed Huddersfield to do so, was when I realised that he was treating his job at Wire very seriously.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and looking back from the outside, Powell was fighting for his coaching life after the initial promise with a squad of favourites including seniors that he'd worked with previously that didn't perform for him and crowd/club favourites and incumbents that didn't buy in to his methods and one or two youngsters that seemed to be unfairly targeted.

i'd keep lindop and holroyd in this week, do whatever we need to do in terms of giving first teamers breaks against london and then following that, bring back fitz et al if they're fit. i think we're in good form enough to give them a bit more time to make sure they're 100%
