Where do Hull go from here? They could sack Smith but that still leaves them with a poor squad he’s built. Hoy is occasionally good, and their pack is big, but there isn’t enough quality in the core to be a top half of the table club. The Xavier Coates try was superb because it was taken in the last seconds of the game to win it for Melbourne. I think that is what makes it more of a 'fairytale' try than other similar efforts.
