| Lee Briers drop goal v Leeds away in the Cullen era to make our first play off series, never happened since I don't think and certainly didn't happen before.
Can't see that happening again with the new structure, oh and the obvious...Lee retired.

Eh? We made the play offs before that in 2003, we got beat by Wigan. And that drop goal advanced us into the next round of play off matches, the Leeds game was a play off game. Unless you mean to [iwin[/i our first play off series [igame.[/i

No the Ref impeded a Saints player because of how we set the move up.
remember this was in the days when everyone lined up and packed down in their normal positions, so backs out of the scrum, and loose forward at the base of the scrum. The Scrum half would feed the scrum and then run to the base of the scrum and pick it up himself and pass or run.
This play however, the scrum half - Willie Swann put the ball in the Scrum and then back peddled away from the scrum and out to the wing. Scully picked the ball up and I guess Saints players expected this was a play between the loose forward and Scrum half because Scully ran towards the wing with Swann. But instead of passing to Swann, he dropped off a flying Henare back on the inside who went the full Length.
As Scully and Willie Swann both headed for the Wing the Referee went that way too - to clear the scrum area - but he Collected a Saints player on the way and that made the gap for Henare even bigger ..
But Saints winger and a recent selection for the England team Danny Arnold, was marking no one on his wing and couldn't get near Henare it was a superb try.

| We did use that again. We scored a couple more that year from it, one a close range effort against cas on sky later that year, that was the one that henare nearly killed adrian flynn as he shoved him in the back after scoring a try and henare went in the advertising boards at the railway end.
Twas a shame that henare went off the deep end the following year, i do wonder if the emergance of Nigel Vagana coming in and taking his hero status in 97 had anything to do with losing his head.

| Henare would be out drinking on a Saturday night until he dropped. Therein lay his problem.

| Was that story about Henare crashing his car and then swapping seats with his (very young) girlfriend as he was bladdered true?

| Back in the late 60s Fran Cottons big brother Dave played a few games for us. He wasn't too successful as he was just too big. However, I remember he scored a breakaway try down the wing fending off many would be tacklers with his massive hands. In many ways it was like that much shown try that Ellery Handley scored whilst at Bradford.

| How about Carvell's 65 metre interception try against Saints a good few years back? It's on that popular video sharing website albeit in poor quality. He leaves Graham and (I think) Flannery for dead, he even has a little chuckle to himself as he gets within 10 metres. Bet it were the longest 15 seconds of his life that.

| Jon Clarke picking up the ball from AH against Catalan on about the half way line, breaking the like and outpacing the FB to score in the corner... Fastest he ever ran in his life.

Can't really call that a one-off can you, Briers did that so many times for us. This one was probably my favourite though, as me and my friend from Bradford were watching this in a pub in Leeds, both wearing our team's shirts and surrounded by Rhinos fans. After cheering and jumping up and down for a few minutes we had to make a swift exit!

| In hindsight, Briers' DG at Leeds in 2002 was far more important, getting us 2 MASSIVE league points
