I just did the Midweek Guardian. Half the people in the houses were annoyed at you for spamming them, and the other half would accuse you of not having delivered it the previus week and would ask if they could have a second copy for their mate around the corner or whatever.

You got paid according to the number of leaflets in that week's edition, plus about £3.50. So you would hope for a middle ground between about 14/15 leaflets (which would break your back and take all night) and 2/3 which would barely get you half a CD.

about 30 pages long.. 28 pages of adverts and a front and back cover..... I used to stash them under my bed, but my mum found them and went mad.. so i ended up dumping them... got away with it for about 8 weeks before i got sacked... they used to phone up people at random and see if they had the paper delivered.. only got about £4 a week for it anyway... wasnt worth delivering.

I think I got 10 and six not sure if that included Sundays, possibly an extra half crown for Sundays, paid 5s 11p or so a week for my bike a Falcon if I remember correctly, as my Granddad would say it's hard but it's regular.

I don't think Warrington WANT me to renew mine. Sent the 8 month DD forms in well before closing date, they've not even set it up for me. So now I'm going to have to pay over 6 months.

Are the issues the fact that you aren't winning every game comfortably by any chance? Happens to all teams at times and doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong with the club at all. The woe is me attitude on here is amazing. Beat Wigan and everything will be rosy again.

No i dont think its because we aren't winning every game comfortably. I can accept defeat when i see effort and pride in the shirt like the loss to Wigan at Wigan this year and even in playoffs last year. We have lost soo much experience and leaders over the last couple of years and have not recruited well.

We lose Morley and Carvell, and replace with England and Asotasi! One a Championship standard player and the other washed up NRL player. I watch the NRL and he was getting dropped from the 17 at Souths the season before he joined us. You could see how lazy he was there and he continued it here.

We have lost Briers and Hodgson and not replaced them. We scrapped through last season with Monaghans leadership and presence. Ok we got Clark to replace Monaghan but they are completely two different players and i know who i prefer!

Fans bagged Waterhouse but i think we miss him.

Everyone can see what we are missing, i wonder however if we have players who have grown far to complacement at the club.

Saints have been through the same thing with the likes of Long, Cunningham, Sculthorpe etc and have rebuilt and come back, i suspect it will take us a year or two also.

Remind me again when exactly were St Helens in danger of missing out of the top 8 playoffs. ..... I'm guessing the internet wasn't around when that happened ...

No, it's more than that. I can live with not winning every game comfortably, i can live with being average, i can live with being poor...i could even live with being terrible and losing every week...but there is something not right with us at the moment which i find hard to live with.

I can live with a poor defensive line, knock-ons (although admittedly they can drive me mad the amount we do!), poor kicking game and lack of creativity...i can't live with a lack of intensity, the team seemingly giving up whenever we go behind, players not taking responsibility for themselves and the team and just hiding or passing responsibility on. You can have all those things and lose which is acceptable but to not have them at all, win lose or draw, is not right.

This is not every player and it's not every game. But it is happening and it's not acceptable.

Remember their board when Simmons was coach?they even moaned for two years about Brown and he won them a LLS and GF!
