What as (I consider myself) a true RL fan I don't understand is the call that lack of segregation was the cause.
If we can't stand together and support out respective teams, have a beer together, and sort out our OWN mindless yobs, then we may as well pack it in and go watch football.

I'll come and stand/sit with you, have a pint with you, agree/disagree with you, but at the end of the day will shake your hand, wish you well and look to meet up with you gain (win or lose).

Why do we have to antagonistic to each other. Sadly respect for other people/ fans/ property seems to be diminishing.

totally disagree...me and my family like a beer or 6 at a game(like 99% of people and families)we can behave so why should we av this hard earned pleasure taken away....if this government grew some balls and started punishing people of guilty acts may be this crap hole of a country might get a tadge better

I agree, I like a beer as much as the next man.
But don't we as fans have a responsibility to "shop" the few idiots who ruin it for the rest of the fans.

We were 2nd row from the back of the top tier and 5 minutes before kick off around 7 or 8 lads (all in their early 20's) from Leeds showed up. They'd all had a few and were being pretty rowdy (oh y y etc) and at one point they spilled what felt like about half a pint of beer over me and my mate. I was thinking that things could turn nasty but the guys apologised and throughout the game we all had some good natured banter. Obviously they went a bit more into there shell as the game progressed.



I really feel for people who were caught up in trouble or sitting near idiots as I could really see it ruining your day if you let it. Whatever way you want to spin it, we at Wire do have our fair share of planks (saw some proper scoats at the homecoming today... ugh) - hopefully they will continue to remain a minority.

Best way to avoid idiots on the coach is to go on the official coaches as you are not allowed to drink, I myself went on the original stevo's coach. Every one had a laugh with each other, drank as much as possible and enjoyed the day out.
