Why? If we finish first or second, we have to beat team in 7th or 8th and then probably either Leeds or St Helens at home to get to the GF. Why can we not do that?

Im not saying your bad because this year your a great team, but your record against the 'big sides' is poor, i cant see you beating wigan AWAY - 2 losses in 12 months!
Saints - record speaks for itself no matter how you are performing
and Leeds who are hitting some form, one set back against crusaiders is nothing
I think you will drop between 4 - 8 points before the end of the season
Wigan 2
Saints 2
then possibly Leeds2 and possibly hull if they want to play

I was in Paris when we played Wigan at home so I didn't see that game but from what I read on here afterwards it really could have gone either way and fair enough.

However, I was at Knowsley Road and Headingley and on both occassions I just felt like we were almost scared to win. We bottled it, especially at Saints.

I think Saints will have had a massive lift after yesterday and unless we beat them at home we won't finish in the top two, as they will more than likely lose less games than us between now and the end of the season.

At the moment I think we'll finish third but at the start of the season I thought fourth at absolute best and probably fifth or sixth so I'm still happy with that.

Personally if we do make it to the CC final, I think we really need to beat Leeds and defiantly Saints. If they beat us at home AGAIN a few weeks before the final, I would not feel confident at all.

BUT if we could beat them then the Monkey so to speak would finally be off our backs then going into the final knowing we can actually beat them would be such a massive lift, same as for Leeds.

No you have to play the 3rd or fourth placed team in the first week at home

we have been beating Wigan on a regular basis up to the last time we played them...and they got very lucky to beat us then.

We can beat Wigan at their place...of that I am certain.
We can beat Leeds...we beat them in a play off match on their own ground....so no fears there at all.

Saints....that's the big Monkey on our backs...the day we do finally beat them (and it will happen soon)..it will be a huge psychological boost..and it will kick us on to win the League...end of.

it was our worst performance of the season against saints but we still only lost to goal kicking.

It doesn't matter how we lost, we still lost and against Saints we always lose.

We had an opportunity to win though and for me we just looked too scared to seize it.

Aha, not used to these dizzy heights. Same point though. There is no reason we can not win the two matches at home, even if it might turn out to be Leeds and St Helens!

If we finish in the top two, we could lose to the third or fourth placed team at home, then get a second chance where we would face a team who finished 5th-8th at home. If we won that we would then play, again at home against third or fourth placed side.

Technically then, if Saints and Leeds finished third and fourth we would only need to beat one of them once, because we could afford a defeat first.

You would then have to repeat a big win in the final. You would be lucky to avoid saints in the play-offs. Your best chance is to play Wigan in one of those games because I can't see Warrington beating Leeds and Saints.
