| First things first, Tai, King and Lindop need a gentle cuff around the head for charging out of the defensive line.
That aside, immense performance in energy draining conditions against a big, physical team.
Vaughan was absolutely superb. If he produced that in a Wigan or HKR shirt every pundit in town would suffer friction burns with the speed they dropped their pants.
Ben C was magnificent, as he has been for some time. STILL our most gifted backrower.

A great effort to get to Wembley again. I think we are carrying a few more injuries than reported. I'm not sure this will help us in our regular Superleague games ... but Wembley is still important. Players love it & so do most fans. HKR are a very decent side ... but you never know.
I'd say Wembley is the be all and end all, for our season. We're going to lose more games, so 4th 5th or 6th is our best bet, which will mean tough games , come September. We must put all our eggs in one basket, from where we are now. Anything else will be a welcome bonus

| Great performance and result It was tough going on the terraces so lord knows what it must have been like in the middle against a tough opponent.
Some brilliant attitude out there I thought Vaughan was magnificent along with other eye catching individual performances (Currie Dufty Thewlis and Yates were my pics) but the most enjoyable aspect for me was our injury induced scrambling, a real team effort.
Well done Wire.
On a slightly disappointing note was my walk back to my car with a group of Leigh fans and one chap in particular told me I should be embarrassed with the win all that play acting injury feigning stuff "watch it back you'll be embarrassed ah'll tell thee". "You won't be able to field a team next week" rounded off with the classic, "well it's always your year"
Ha ha what a twerp, although I'd be interested to hear from those that watched it on the Gogglebox, does our friend have a point?

Fitzgibbon was having a superb game. Testing time now for Wire. It was his best game in ages - the first time he has provided a real attacking threat in a long while. Unfortunately though, he seems to be one of those players who gets up clutching some part of his anatomy after every tackle.

| On Vaughan] "He's been brilliant all year but today he really took the game by the scruff of the neck early and dragged the team forward. We're doing everything to keep him."

| No mention yet of Ben currie, who has been the best half back on the field the last 2 games, despite not playing there. An absolute class act.

| Through train line you can get a coach for £16 the club are charging £67 pound, if you want to go by train it’s cheaper to go from Manchester Picadilly by a big amount.

Only times I saw us stay down was Fitzgibbon (who went off and never came back after writhing around clearly in agony) and Thewlis, who got rocked in the jaw but got told it was legal hit lol. That fans clearly a salty bell.

I didn't fully appreciate how good a game Currie and Ratchford (in defence) had until I watched it on iPlayer when I got home. Currie was really immense.

You must have missed where I said how good he was and so did Morrisseyisawire. He was superb and has been consistently good all season

| Excellent performance, I think everyone to a man has been name checked above and rightly so. Vaughan is superb, and has been since he got here, but that was another gear.
On the contact with the head stuff, I’m genuinely confused. I don’t think any of them should have seen cards, nobody wants to see cards in big games. But, Lewis Murphy and Saints have every right to put the tele in the bath after watching that. We’ve just completely changed the policing of that rule without actually telling anyone. Earlier in the year Trout and Tai would have both seen a card. I’m not saying that they deserved cards, but how can you reasonably explain accidentally making contact with the head when catching a ball 5 feet in the air, and getting binned, and someone smashing an almost static player and making forceful contact and nothing given.
The ref broadly did well, but missed a clanger with the tackle from Dufty holding up Armstrong (After the superb Thewlis tackle). Dufty comes from an offside position and makes the tackle. Leigh will be furious with that. But, on balance, the second Sneyd chargedown Liu was offside and it was given a turnover. At 12-4 up and completely steamrolling them at that’s state, we could have shut the game down if that gets blown as a penalty. But, that’s why we have challenges and it’s both teams fault for their misuse of them.
Thewlis and Tai have proved me wrong from the start of this season, I thought both were underperforming but their effort yesterday was exceptional.
