When you are in the relative safety of your home VPN, google images of "joel monaghan and dog love"
The opposition fans used to "woof" in unison when he got the ball. They stopped after a while and he became one of our best wingers of all time with 145 tries in 145 games in 5 seasons. Deadly finisher especially when the recipient of a cross field kick.
The phantom hotel table crapper (Anthony Gelling) isn't worth researching.

Ha! I'll save you from getting sacked.
Joel Mongahan made a dog lick his bits, which worked out very well for us as he left the NRL straight after. This often led to us singing "who let the dogs out" whenever he scored a try, which was very often, as he was brilliant.
Anthony Gelling once defecated on hotel tables with a teammate. This was long before coming to us. He was only with us for one season in 2020. He also punched his wife while at Warrington after she tried to run him over, so there's also that.
And Lee Briers was the one convicted of drink driving when he was captain.
That's just a brief insight into our proud history.

Going way back didn't Phil Ford evade arrest from the police by hiding in his attic? Or was that urban myth? Or was it Alan "Action" Rathbone (RIP) ?

Bit of context on the joel monaghan thing, it was on a mad Monday and it was a team mates dog, he was trying to wind the teammate up.
He's not a (total) weirdo.

| FWIW - Gelling was acquitted by jury in May 21 of inflicting GBH in the incident where his wife reversed the vehicle trapping him.

Yes, when he was at Wigan.
He left Wigan and signed for London Broncos.
Wire signed him from London.

| I think Stuart Reardon was still at Wires when he & Leon Pryce were charged with assault (of Reardon's estranged wife and her boyfriend).

| Since we're on a roll, there was this one from July 2009 too:
"Warrington Wolves are investigating events that led to their first-team players Chris Bridge and Ben Harrison being arrested on suspicion of causing affray in the early hours of Monday morning.
Bridge and Harrison were arrested with two local men aged 34 and 39 following an alleged incident in Warrington town centre"

| I know so many lively lads who will tell you that they were "saved" by the discipline/release of playing rugby. A night out with the team was always a little bit of extra fun.

And then there's former Saints & Hudderfield's Scott Moore and his 150 mph car chase then being Tasered 6 times in 2016 !
This is probably the best write up - with a mug shot too !!

Yeah. I have no reason to believe RL players behave any different from none RL players from the socio economic class from which they are drawn or other RL players at other teams.
Just putting the "spitting" into perspective. We have recruited and retained players with far worse track records.
