Losing to Hull in the semi would be almost as bad as Saints losing to Halifax. Hull are a joke, a shambles of a side.

I said in hindsight. As in, if you lost the final and could go back in time.



I'm obviously not saying I'd want to lose semi-finals.

Speaking of prize money ,what can Saints look forward to this year for finishing top ? Hasn't it been increased ?

If it has...it's still can't be enough to stop a team being content to finish 2nd before the eliminators.

I'm with a previous poster. Normally id of said any finals good to get to. However, playing Saints, at Wembley?? their fans are beyond horrible win or lose, so id rather bow out in Bolton (Or Ibiza, where i'll be, haha)

If you had hindsight of the result...what's the point of traveling to support at all...win or lose?

Crikey I can remember the long lean years when Wembley or. GF was just something other clubs did, would have walked it there if we had made it.



We arn’t gonna win it if we’re not in it, but give me chance of a Wembley trip or GF as often as possible.



And with it being saints is added spice, as I don’t think we have played them at Wembley C F or GF. Before

At the moment wouldn't be bothered if we were to be beaten by hull but come kick off time I know my attitude will be different...but a victory would leave me thinking saints at Wembley a loss and having to put up with there cretinous supporters could you imagine our forum...

Hard to communicate using a hypothetical future hindsight for hypothetical arguments.



Scenario 1: We lose to Hull

Scenario 2: We beat Hull and lose to Saints



I think there is less heartbreak in scenario 1 and I'd rather go through that than scenario 2. The point I was making is that if they are your only two choices, I'd choose scenario 1. But they aren't the only two eventualities.



Of course I want to win and that can only happen with beating Hull, which I desperately want. If we loose to Saints then so be it as you can't go back in time.



I'm boring myself now. Just wanted to defend myself as people are reading it as if I want to lose a semi-final, which couldn't be further from the truth.

Oh I despise Saints with a passion and losing in a final to them would be horrific but we can't hide from giving that a crack. Imagine beating them at Wembley?? Their record against us in big games is pretty woeful in recent times. If we do meet at Wembley I should imagine it won't be pretty off field.
