| Seeing Prices reaction to Atkins brain fart is an improvement. TS reaction to that would be to pat him on the back with a never mind Ryan my favourite player, do better next time.

Thought the exact same thing myself.
Atkins didn't cover himself in glory did he. Neither did Patton with his "no look" pass that went forward blowing another good opportunity in their 20.
Ratchford stunk.

| Jack Hughes played well when he was in the middle. Made a lot of tackles and carried the ball straight and hard. Everyone could see he didn’t have the class to play out wide but could be a good work horse.
Clark was also good, lively when we managed to break a ruck and defended hard.

| I think a bit of perspective is needed on here.
That was our first competitive game in five months with a completely new coaching setup and several new players. I thought the game could have gone either way to be honest. Leeds' goal line defence was pretty good and they held us up over the line a few times. We were just dumb in certain situations which cost us. I have no idea what Westwood was playing at at the end.
I thought we started off well in the first 10 mins and then were the better team in the second half. A few 50/50 calls went again us as well.
Not sure why the criticism of Roberts. I thought he showed glimpses of quality.
On another day Ratchford tackles Hall, Atkins goes low and scores and we win the game.
We'll be fine this season. Lets see where we are after 10 games.

If Roberts is just going to take the ball at acting half and pass for 2/3rd of the game he's gonna get critical posts and rightly so.
Almost a mirror start as it was a decade ago...2 big signings Monas and King and the lesser known Hicks out shone them both....as with Roberts and BMM, up pops Goodwin as the star.

| Cooper looks well up for it compared to last year already
Goodwin looks very very good!
Philbin looks strong, fast and determined. Hopefully he’ll get a lot of minutes

yeah, you're bang on there, the tonga international, and the halfback with no international reps got shown up by the unknown unheralded capped nearly a dozen times kiwi international.
Its exactly the same.

| Not far off the pace overall, the last ditch defence was good for both sides but we need to work on getting more options in attack to get us across the try line. Philbin is coming on leaps & bounds & hopefully Price will work on getting Atkins back in his usual position. The gamebreaker was Hall's try who went through a gap that Moses could have got the Israelites through & i think it highlighted that Ratchford is better away from the fb position & put in an attacking role. We would have fared a lot better if we hadn't let Leeds get piggy backed up field with penalties but i'm sure Price will correct a few wrongs as the season progresses.
Not a disaster & Leeds deserved the win.

Goodwin was a Leigh reject. Couldn't even get a single game for them.

| The defence was good apart from not dealing with Mylers kicks and the Horlicks of a gap left in the defensive line for the Hall try. Lots to be Optimistic about there.
The attacking formations will come in time.
Lets remember that Leeds are probably trying to peak twice this season. One for the WCC and also the Grand Final. They looked sharper than us last night and rightly so.

| Although some of last nights mistakes were frustrating, I’m not worried too much as I don’t think we’ll be doing that all season. Last year we were worse than that at game 8, so we’ve already got an improvement.
I’m not naive enough to think we’ll win anything this year but I do think we’ll go okay by the time of the split. All we wanted was a steady year to set us up for 2019 and a few more options in the forwards. Atkins, Ratchford and Russell didn’t have their best games last night but we know Ratchford is better than that, Atkins also and Russell can fight for his position with Mitch Brown who didn’t look too bad in the pre-season games.
I’m much more positive about this year than last.

That's a fare comment.

Ha ha ha he never went to leigh they signed him for THIS year and we offered a better contract to take him before he even landed in This country. He's in no way what so ever a leigh reject ha ha ha. He's a quality Centre who's played like this for his whole NRL career, and his performance was not a surprise at all

As confirmed by Bryson Goodwin after the match Roberts has only been in full training for one week. I'm also with Lefty on Goodwin: he's a serious player with a lot of international appearances for the Kiwis, certainly better known than either Roberts or BMM.
