| I don't see a natural leader in the current squad other than Briers or M Monaghan. For me it's about next season and who is the best man to drive them on to achieve success next year. Monas for me

| I think this one is hard to call and we supporters can't really judge who is the natural leader within the club. I'd be surprised if it's not one of our older players for the year. Michael Monaghan, Briers, Asotasi or Waterhouse for me.

| Didn't Ben Harrison used to be the captain of the England youth team?

So how about Ben Westwood?
Like Morley before him, a unexplainable decision, but could it work?'"
Why was Morley an 'unlikely' captain??.....Seemed a pretty obvious one if you ask me - Highly respected by his team mates, also an intelligent bloke, who was respected by most in the game.
As for Westwood? - I can't see it, mainly on the fact that he doesn't seem the greatest communicator (being blunt, he doesn't sound the brightest!!).
A good outside bet, especially if he has a strong World Cup, might be Chris Hill.... He's probably now our number one prop forward and a good World Cup would help to build his reputation among his peers.

Morley definitely was the obvious option, massive amounts of experience through international and domestic games and shown great character in the NRL. Would love to see Hill as captain, he's had one hell of a year and continues to grow in confidence, something everyone can respect.
If I had to put my mortgage on it though i'd say Asotasi

| Probably be Roy A as he's shown he can do it.
Ben H was captain of England schools I think.
Other options could be Ratch or Micky H.

Morley was made Captain after his first season to take some of the pressures of Briers, which i think worked well for both players and more importantly for Warrington.
I can't see Tony Smith going down that route again - Hill or Grix for me

| Does it matter? Can't say I've ever noticed the captain role playing too much of an impact in my days of watching RL (I never watched the great Faz, before them lot start).
If you're looking for captain qualities, then it's probably going to be Roy. Ideally, it would either be one of the playmakers or the loose forward for me. The savvy players, if you will.

| I don't see a natural progression within the squad for the captaincy.
I'm sure that Smith will have had someone earmarked for the role for a while now, but no-one jumping out at me at the moment.

In Smith we trust:Black Backgrounds/Animal.gif |

| It could be someone with experience like Mickey Higham or even Joel or Trent. If it's going to be someone for longevity then Hilly or Myler could get the call. Whilst I was conscious of not naming the whole squad without stating the blinking obvious it could be anyone. It could even be a new signing should we have some more.

| Maybe Asotasi is deciding he needs a good pre season behind him to be fit and focused for his main job, winning silverware for Warrington.

| My shout is Ben Westwood.
Contracted till 2015, probably get another year, so ok for 3 year stint as skipper.
Should also calm him down a bit.
Then need a top class proven half or fullback to be vice captain

tip:
Dear Mr Parish/ Samoan RL
please do not consider me for this years world cup tournament at my time of life I would really like to be fit and focused for my main job, winning silverware for Warrington.
I give you plenty of warning so you can make the proper squad selection and take a good squad of 25 players and not 24 like if I went missing at the last minute.....
kind regards
Mr R Asotasi
