| This will take ages to get over. I just hope the players have the mentality to get over this quick and to get back to winning ways.
This could prompt the club to announce new or retaining players for a bit of a pick up for the fans.

| I'm disappointed rather than gutted, and I don't say that to be churlish to Hull, who deserved it and who I hope go on to win. It's just that after the Grand Final last year I would have traded the Challenge Cup for the SL Trophy and for me the priority for this season is to try and win SL. I don't know if going out of the Cup will help that but it certainly won't make it harder.

Is this a joke? Referee had a fantastic game. Best refereeing I have seen in a while.

| Yep - Hull deserved it. They were given a way back into the match and took it and then when we couldn't respond they put their foot down
Fans outsung Wire too - at least on the tv
Too many errors in the tackle.
Carvell was immense - our best forward imo. (Disappointed he's going).
Hodgeson not kicking suggests he wasn't fully fit.
Fantastic final 5 mins but to be honest had we won it would have been an injustice - even though I'd have been ecstatic.
Agree that Briers had a quieter game than normal.
Benny W had a mixed game. Trent was fairly annonymous in the 2nd half but would have to watch it again to see why.
Holdsworth and Whiting had great games.

Well that says something about either the standard of reffing in general, or how many games you actually watch. Either way it was a poor show, but it's far from the first time this season.

| Must also say, watching the game on TV several hundred miles away it looked a better atmosphere than I've ever seen for a Huddersfield game. Normally that stadium depresses me.

Please dont tell me you are blaming the ref.
He made mistakes both ways but didnt influence the result.
Llet Westwood get away with a high shot on Ellis and a forearm down on Miller.

| Silverwood let the game flow pretty well and had zero bearing on the result.

| Im stunned that some Wire fans are blaming the ref. I have never seen such a one sided ref. He gave Warrington everything. The video ref even gave a try that was a blatant knock on. If i was a Hull fan and we had lost that game i would have been livid. Justice was done in the end though and the better side won.

Clearly he has never done this in the past and thus has never deserved to be in a final, i suspect that the same scenario will occur tomorrow.:30555.jpg |

The club are pleased to announce that Chris Bridge has extended his current contract by a further 5 years!!!

Nope, not saying the result was down to him - we looked laboured from 20 minutes in and offered surprisingly little on the last play. Our halves were out of sorts and our front row were not the force they should have been. That's why we lost.
My comments about the ref are because it was a typical display from the northern hemisphere referees. They pick up on some stuff and not others, are inconsistent between games, some calls like a knock on vs strip or slowing the ptb, are an utter lottery and the offside is rarely, if ever, properly reffed. It's not so much a criticism of this match as a build up of exasperation over the season at how bad our reffing is, and it's a big part of why we'll not beat the Aussies again if our game is played at this speed and intensity.

| I'm actually not that gutted now that I'm home having a cold beer and some donner meat n chips. My son was proper gutted (hes 10) but I'm glad he got to experience a close game in a decent atmosphere in a semi final and gets to understand we cant win every game.... the beatings make the wins all that sweeter,
I am gutted however I listened to my missus and ordered 6 tickets on the RFL website last night........
I'm going to leave it a while before I go and grovel on the FC site for any takers for 6 x row 8 ,block 114 tickets

Ok fair enough and i agree to a large extent.
Think the players, coaches and us fans should take some of the blame also but that is perhaps for another thread.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
