Whilst watching Warrington last season I felt that we were very strong defensively. This year, albeit it is very early, we look as though we can be opened up every time the opposition gets inside our 20/30.

I agree with this until the last 30 mins of todays game, when we looked like ourselves from last year

was it the wire scoring in the corner at halftime or was i seeing things i thought he played well

Joel monaghans defence was outstanding especially that try saving tackle on Peter fox!!

so youre saying a bunch of hard massive blokes running aroung playing rugby! get cold hands and struggle to tackle. stop making excuses and accept our defence is not as good without mathers organising skills.i thik a lot of there tries were about organisation and missing tackles. we need to start stopping the opposition playing the ball quickly. in wich they scored most of there tries from.

the refereeing yesterday was awful. i dont care if he makes the wrong decision as all referees will do, but if he penalises a team for one incident he has to be consistent and keep penalises the same thing thrughout the match. i know refereeing is very hard when under a lot of pressure but this is the highest competition and something needs to be done as most refferees don't have a clue about controling the game and being consistent with your decisions.

Ref got the 3rd HKR try right. Higham stuck a hand out to try and block the pass from acting half and it deflected off him over our line for them to touch down. Crap score but they all count. Didn't get a decent view of their try from the 'forward' pass. Riley's effort in the first half which got dragged back for the same reason looked ok to me.

thing what was frustrating about rileys 2 tries not given was that they didn't need to be a forward pass for him to score.

Yep, suspect God used his favourite word 'composure' at half and full time. Mylers attempt to pass before he had hold of the ball was another example. We probably bombed 5 or 6 good chances.

Tremendous goal line defence for the last quarter of yesterday's game. Hull KR are no mugs, so to keep them out was a great achievement, although a couple of their earlier tries were very softly conceded indeed.

the kick through was quite awful player flat footed not running back and left the hull kr player to touch down with no pressure from any player. that the only woorying thind what saints might exploit.

Just watching the super league show and the Briscoe try is such an obvious forward pass. Couldn't make the game as i have to work majority of sundays but im sure our defence will start to improve through the season

The defensive standards of our game seems to have slipped some what compared to last year, at times we didn't really get off the line and boss their players around the ruck which was why it was so good last year. It is slightly worrying considering we have Saints on Friday. Hopefully our intensity in defence will step up a few levels, if not it's going to be a points feast at the Stobart!
