We're the first ones to starve, we're the first ones to die The first ones in line for that pie-in-the-sky And we're always the last when the cream is shared out For the worker is working when the fat cat's about:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_12937.jpg

What a legend.

Quote: Wire_Yed "It sounds like we've got similar tastes as I was thinking of ideas myself and came up with similar. If I do anything it will definitely be with old logos rather than the current badge.

I've got the mid-nineties style "side on" wolf tattooed on my arm and daft as it sounds I gave the design to the tattooist by getting my 1995 away shirt photocopied and upsized. It came out perfect and I've still got the shirt, so if I can't find it anywhere at all online I'll probably do the same again, get someone with a scanner to put it on computer for me then use that. I reckon the wolf in primrose on a plain blue background with "NOW THE WIRE" written either around or below it (depending on what looks best) also in primrose will do the trick.

Too late for next week but definitely one for the future. I shuddered reading 74's post above about the flags "we" display already because he is completely correct and I hate all of them, but rather than just moan on the internet I think it's time a few of us did something better.'"

Seems like we have similar taste, aye. A bloke I used to play rugby with had a similar sounded tattoo. I've always wanted one similar. The side on head in wire, with 'Warrington' underneath.

Did you go for the one depicted on the crest? I think this is where PC got his idea from. The wolf signifies the county of Cheshire and is derived from the arms of Hugh Lupus the First Earl of Chester. Lupus means Wolf in Latin or in medical terms an autoimmune disease that can affect virtually any system in the body. Think of it as a 'self-allergy' where the body attacks its own cells and tissues, causing inflammation, pain, and possible organ damage.

I think Lupus is a good name for the Wire in either case.

Yeah that's the one I've got. Just the wolf with yellow and blue stars either side, "WIRE" written under it in yellow and blue Olde English lettering and barbed wire below. Maybe I should make a banner of my arm!

In seriousness I love that badge Yed has posted above (still got that shirt myself too if it's the vertical stripes one I think it is - my first Wire top) and I reckon a plain primrose banner with that crest on the blue shield exactly as depited would also look lovely.

I'm not sure my checkered flag will be primrose exactly, nor is the ink in my tattoo (probably) hence I've been careful to state "yellow and blue".

I know it was a joke, but anyway a Sweden flag is too distinctive. A Ukraine flag on the other hand...

no i know, not being pretentious or anything but i thought meself last year about the swedish flag, its just doesn't look right,

much like the current blue and yellow in our homeshirt, that doesn't look the right blue to me either.

My checkered flag arrived today. Exactly as it says on the tin for four quid. Sound.

I'm thinking of getting one. Primrose and Blue Union Jack with Warrington RLFC on it.

I'm thinking of getting one made. Originally a Wrexham footy fan til I moved and converted to Warrington RL.

I've had flags made my Barmy Flags previously and they may be a little expensive but you get what you pay for I suppose.

They've made them for Wigan, who raised funds to get them done and they put them at the top of the stand. Personally don't like this or Wigan for that matter but have a look on Barmy Flags page on facebook (you dont have to be a member) they have a massive gallery to gain some inspiration.

I too think the load of English flags with millwall slogans, sculls etc look a bit naff so I'll hopefully get something sorted int he next couple of weeks. 3 strips, yellow/blue/yellow and unsure on text as yet!

Also, designed a DIY, 1-Off should we get to Wembley!!

Good luck guys!

Embarrassing. I admit it looked quite good but banners and flags should always be done by fans not clubs themselves.

Wigan flags look like a rip off of the Manchester Utd ones.

The Wigan flags were designed & paid for by the fans. Nothing to do with the club.
I think the poster meant that barmy's have done them for us (not the club)

Do they support United? Very very similar.
