That guy was a complete and absolute idiot -managed to turn a decent community pub with strong bowling section etc into a place with all the atmosphere of an undertakers - Farmers is now under new management who unfortunately appear to be following the `chav central` approach to clientele though ...

You'd think in this financial climate they'd be bending over backwads to get business in.'"

Keith from Snookers is one of the rudest people I have ever met.
Me and my mates used to buy a drink for anyone that could make him smile, cracking joke after joke after the bar but he still remained stony faced.

I remember him! He acted like his job was to put his lovespuds in the snooker pockets and let you hit balls at them... Although then again his voice was too low for that.

| The thing is, he and his very important 'assistant general manager' were just so bloody rude about it. It's not as if I was trying to sneak my lad in to wreck the place or pick-pocket the elderly couple in the corner. He was with me because that's what we do. I don't leave him on his own to wait outside whilst I get the drinks in because I like to know he's safe.
Maybe I'm just too used to match-days cos we've never had anything but a welcome from the many pubs/clubs we've been in all over the North of England and beyond when watching rugby.

| i happened when i was with my mate and his kids in a pub in little lever. We went in ordered drinks then afterwards told kids not allowed. My mate said fair enough can i have my money back and put his pint on the bar. Barman said no and my friend poured it on his head and told him to go love himself. Funny at the time but we got pulled by police on the way home and he was fined for it.
To be fair though the policeman agreed in principle but not in action.

| That bloke from the stag is a right miserable gimp.
I dont see why pubs cheese people off for the sake of it, I mean, look at the amount of people on this tiny community that wont now go there.
Sure, some old farts probably dont want kids around, but there's a lot more custom in families and the like i reckon
