Totally agree with that Rider! I started watching Hull in 1946 but have followed Warrington's fortunes since one of my favourite RLplayers came from them back in the late 40's. He led us to a stellar decade in the 50's when he played and coached for Hull.
Warrington were quite decent in that decade too!
Also Brian Bevan tops the list for the best player I have ever seen. |

As I see it he, and other clubs that followed was targeting the revolving doors Mamo and Austin hence their release. |

I think once Mamo got a good run at centre he got better defensively. Whether that was a permanent transformation remains to be seen.
As for Austin (and Charnley's kick defence) the less said the better. |
