| If Currie goes to the right, you absolutely have to play Wrench at centre and Thewlis on the wing. He is quick, and can pass short and long, even kick behind. There is no point putting a slow centre between him and Thewlis.
It’s criminal enough having Ratchford in the middle of him and Ashton, but Matautia between them would be like having a Ford Galaxy towing a caravan in the middle lane of the Autobahn.

The problem with many of these Aussie fellas is that they rock up thinking its going to be big city living in a place like London or Manchester, but then quickly realise that Warrington (& much of Northen England) is a boring, grey hole, with very little going for it.
The only ones who seem to endure any length of time here, are the ones who discover the sunnier spots of Europe and manage to escape there at regular intervals.

The ones that do stay seem to really enjoy it though - Austin, Clark, Goodwin
....and the ones who don't just can't wait to get home!!

Yes, that's true. I think my point is that it's a far more of a culture shock than many seem to realise its going to be, not helped by them being shipped over here as we enter winter, when the UK is a very dull and depressing place and they have left Australia as summer is beginning - I can't imagine anything worse personally and some of them must wonder just what the hell they have let themselves in for.

| Depends how you view it. Newcastle in Australia is a right dump btw.
Warrington will win no beauty prizes but it does have some nice parts. If you like city life you have two world famous cities on your doorstep. We are ideally positioned for North Wales, Peak District, Lake District, North Yorkshire, Trough of Bowland and Shropshire and even more beautiful places a little further afield….and that’s before you think about travelling to Europe.
Personally I think living in this part of the world is magnificent, much more to enjoy than a few beaches and some pretty cities miles away from each other…..and then there’s all the animals that want to kill you.

I personally think the UK is a hole and isn't helped by terrible, unpredictable weather, though we're probably veering into a non-rugby related debate at this point..
It's why I try to spend as much time as I can anywhere but here...

| Well if you value predictability you must suffer more than most as a Wire fan.

Finished your analogy for you

So live in Manchester then, its a wonderful city and its hardly a great distance away.
However, this issue seems to affect us more than most (certainly of late) and Warrington is like Manhattan compared to most SL towns. So maybe there is some other reason?
