Oh no. This is really saddening. Poor lad, going to miss watching him play. He's always been reliable for a good game when he actually played. He was on fire at the back end of 2013. Not happy we've let him go.

To me the players we have missed most this season are Russell & Bridge.

Even when he was on the field this years I'd rather he wasn't. Yes, I miss the Bridge from a year or two ago, but not based on his appearances this season.

Coming home to Fax, reading the comments if he has a bit of luck with injuries we have got a top player.

I'm surprised but if he gets better he is a belter of a player. One of my favourites. At the moment though he can't actually run due to his injury and until this nerve kicks in he will be fairly useless.

If he can get himself fit, I'm not sure we've seen the back of him completely. Wouldn't surprise me to see him back at the club in 2017. Here's hoping.

When Grix was fit and on form the whole side seemed to function better... His injuries have been a real shame.

If he would have been lucky enough to have a relatively injury free career, he would have almost certainly been coveted as one of the best 13's of his generation i think.

He has everything.. great hands, strength, speed, crunching defense.. he even has a brilliant sidestep.. remember him scoring a great try against Bradford at the HJ quite a few years back.... He sidestepped through the line and went round the FB to score under the sticks.... brilliant try... pure athlete.

I hope he somehow manages to stay fit for the rest of his career.. one this is for sure.. if he stays fit all next year at fax, he will be back in SL the year after... i REALLY hope he manages to.

He still had a foot brace on at the Catalans game, so it doesn't look likely that he is planning a comeback as of yet. It unfortunately could be a career ending injury, but if it isn't and he regains full fitness, he would certainly be Super League standard.

Laithwaite who had the same injury seems to be ahead of Grix now and walking without any surgical appliance.

He had the plate removed on Friday from his leg. Apparently this is the reason he hasn't been able to run. I expected crutches so it's a definite positive that he is already walking on it.

That's good to know. Hopefully he can progress quickly from now on.
