| Quote: The All New Chester Wire "I might well be wrong. I do think our pack this year is so strong that any others seem weak in comparison. Our pack was good last year but lacked aggression on occasion. With Sims and a revived Westwood, I don't think we'll suffer with that this year.
I've just looked at your pack again and there are clearly some big hitters in there but AS A PACK, I don't really get it.
If you get the two halves and Lomax clicking (or even on the pitch together) then you'll score hatfuls of tries with the speed you have in the three quarters. Percival, Swift, Makinson may not have the glamour of Charnley or Monaghan, but boy they can move.'"
It's an interesting observation.
Saints' pack was huge for us last year; it's the sole reason we finished top and won it after losing our entire playmaking contingent.
Saints will run with Amor, Walmsley, Masoe, Richards and Savelio as traditional props with Thompson, Vea and LMS as back rowers/props and Wilkin and Greenwood as standard second rowers. Then you've still got Flanagan, Walker as back up.
Roby needs no introduction. Hohaia will spell with him this year as well allowing Roby to be fresher hopefully.
I have concerns over a couple of things but the pack is one area I definitely am not worried over.

| Yes your pack helped you win some games, but it did you no favours against us.
If you'd have picked us, we'd have won and Wigan would've won the GF. So in a way, I'm glad you didn't pick us!

You betray your inferiority complex with every post you make.
Warrington are a raindrop on our window. We're St Helens, a club that demands and expects championships and ultimately, attains them. We don't pray every year to be taken seriously; we are taken very seriously because of the reality of whom we are. A select few clubs in world sport are privy to such a position. Warrington, sadly, will never attain such prestige.
Nevertheless, you're a talented group this coming season and represent a real threat to our hopes. As such, I have chosen to discuss the coming season with you all. It'd be nice to not have to read such mundane rubbish following each post. Thankfully, at least one Warrington supporter is capable of avoiding doing so.

Read the first 2 lines and skipped the rest but I'm assuming it's drivel.
Poor attempt there, as always!

Not trolling. I was responding directly to you and your inane crap. In a genuine chat about the relative merits of two of this year's leading threats, all you're intent on doing is suggesting that Saints somehow 'swerved' Warrington and would have lost anyhow. Basically, schoolboy, immature nonsense. I simply pointed out that Warrington are nothing to a club of the stature of St Helens. You'd be as well throwing your inane rubbish at Castleford fans or another club at your kind of traditional level.
Just regarding an earlier post about Warrington's pack being so strong that all others appear weak. I've just read your likely team and it has Asotasi and England as half of your prop rotation. That won't be filling fear in the hearts of either Saints or Wigan.

You can't help yourself can you?
Saints did swerve us, no one in their right mind would've picked us ahead of Catalan cos we trounced you in your own backyard 3 weeks prior.
Also, considering you've only won two trophies in 7 years and we've won 4, I'd put us on at least level pegging. Other Saints fans can admit that, you just seem to have a personal vendetta against Wire.

Seven years ?!?! You're putting Warrington level pegging with St Helens because of the last seven years ?!?! Are you a delinquent ?
Here's a history lesson. Saints won the championship more times between 1999 and 2006 than Warrington have in their entire history. During your glory period of the 1950's, St Helens won as many championships as you did. In our barren spell between 2007 and now (the last seven years as you declare), we won more championships than Warrington have done in the last 59 years. You've got a decent record in the cup now after your little run recently, prior to that you'd won the cup the same amount of times as Halifax and Wakefield.
You're a plucky club slowly gaining some relevancy back in the upper regions of British RL. Leeds, Wigan and St Helens you are not.
That's all I'll say as this is going off topic. I think you've got a decent shot at winning your first title in 60 years in 2015. Would I back you ? No, I don't think I would. I'd still put Saints and Wigan ahead of you.

True true rd. Especially one who's only popped up since his team crept out of insignificance.

It's a fair point you make. I would suggest caution though as Bradford were pretty decent in the 1999 - 2006 period and their fall from the upper regions of British RL was clear to see. Not suggesting this will happen to Saints but it goes to show that nothing is forever. Warrington are now a force in SL I think we can all agree but you are right it will take a long time for us to build a heritage.
