| Well done Widnes in your cup final. If you watch the TV the last weekend in August you will see us in our cup final.
I would seriously look at Briers and if he's out or the season then deregister him and get another player in. I know it was O'Briens first game but he was way below his standard he set last year.

| great stuff from widnes... long may performances like that against us continue
warrington need to buck their ideas up if they want to carry on being considered one of the best teams... 4 trophies in 4 seasons is pretty impressive but if we fade now we aren't going to be remembered for very long
as an aside it must be fantastic being a widnes speccie at the moment, yeah they got smashed last week but i remember the excitement when warrington were in a similar phase... i'd say about the time we moved into new ground, graham appo scored 20 odd tries from stand off, signing gleeson the nxt year i think (not too disimilar to hock signing), danny lima doing his dj-celebration etc.
the team is now better but was much more interested in the regular rounds back then
if widnes can kick on like we did, we can stay up there, and the future of the derby is as a top of the league clash i'd be well happy, although i'd prefer us to win, obviously

| Nothing really much to say. Widnes won their Cup/Grand Final, and with ease. We were out-enthused at every play, exploited on the flanks and the amount of dropped ball we did was unreal.
Still, onwards and upwards for the home game against the Broncos.
Any other league game, and I wouldn't be bothered. I am a slight bit bothered about this defeat, moreso because we conceded 38 points and we got beat by a side that contained Phil Joseph, Patrick Ah Van and Ben Cross.

| My two main internet bug bears on one thread
Someone's 'cup final'
and
correcting grammar when you have no 'other' comeback.
If we had treated it like a cup final then we might not have shipped in 38 points.
It hurts losing to Widnes i won't lie, but give them the credit they deserve.
Well done Widnes, best team on the day.

| Your just not the same team without Briers. At 18-18 I could just tell we were going to win. Come end of the year im sure youll be near the top and we will be near the bottom. But for now we can enjoy the win .... WIIIIDNES! WIIIIDNES!

If only there was facility to "Like" your post it would include my internet bug bears too.
Plus the facility to upload a picture of some food, or someones feet on the beach.

I wonder if Huddersfield thought we are not the same team without Briers last week. Briers has been missing most of the seasons and we have put in some good performances without him. Today we gave away lazy cheap penalties and failed to respect possession. We deserved to lose because we were terrible, that's all. We'll win plenty more without Briers this season.

Its either that or the wooden spoon last year. Tricky which one to pick.
Well played today, and enjoy your big win against one of the big boys. You' won't have much more to celebrate this season... like most of your years.'"
As you are a big club, I'd rather expect your honours list to be much bigger compared to ours........

| It might me just me, but every time I watch the Wire, I sense a certain fragility in the forwards that I don't feel when watching any of the other "big" teams. And worryingly, I can't work out why.

| I just thought we were a little lethargic today lacking impetus to win the game. At 18-12 I like others thought we would go on to win the game but on the back of their next try we looked shocked and couldn't find the simple answer in how to regain a stronghold on the game. I'm glad we only have to wait until Monday to hopefully right the wrongs. Hopefully it was just one of those days and we can get back to playing what were capable of. I wonder if this defeat changes the team selection for Monday. I for one would like to see Brett back at full back with Ratch replacing Gareth O'Brien, Bridge returning for Evans & M Monnas back.

| Just got home, and still debating with myself on that. At the end of the day we were outplayed by a better side and in the last quarter I found myself getting death stares for clapping the Widnes tries. They deserved them, we didn't it is as simple as that.
The main thing annoying me is the other day I watched that 'wire2wolves' video and all the players (past/present) interviewed were talking about playing for the supporters. I have a 220 mile round trip on the train for games and it feels like at certain points this season, particularly today I haven't seem that. Hopefully after some sleep and further reflection I will look at things differently.
Just to reiterate, well done Widnes thoroughly deserved!
