Quote: Fatbelly "There sia difernce berween teh two.
When we were at Wilderspool we were poop and nearly got relegated one season and in another season there was talk of the Wire disappearing altogether becuase of bad debt and merging with Widnes.
Whereas when you were at KR you were winning trophies year on year which would have pulled the maximum crowds each week.
I do think your attendances will improve but not by the marked numbers that ours did.
You do have a fantastic looking stadium now, which is a credit to your club and RL.'"
According to this article Season ticket sales are well up on the average KR numbers
apparently we had about 5000 season ticket holders , we are currently on 8000 , and selling more , so bodes well for the attendances

| Went past the other day, the ground looks brilliant.
Couple of away trips to look forward to next year more so than usual in Saints & Salford. Throw in the novelty of having Widnes back and 2012 should be good.

To be fair I think saints have learnt a lot from the hj as a rugby league ground, and added to it, so would hope that it is a step up, as will the next rugby league ground be a step up from the langtree. That's evolution for you (not counting Salford on this!)

I think we may be waiting quite a while for the next one. Things have gone quiet again at Cas and Wakefield and the Odsal Sporting Village thing has fallen apart again.
The new ground at Saints really does look good though. I think you'll average over 14,000 for the season. You have to bear in mind there will be sell outs for Wigan, Warrington, and probably Widnes.

I think you are right, in the first season, we must be aiming to average 14000, lots of nosey speccies coming just to see the new ground. In the longer term, I would hope we can comfortably average between 12 and 13000.

McManus is very bullish about attendances. We've apparently sold 8,000 season tickets already and are aiming for 10,000 by Christmas.
Quote: SomersetSaint "But we’re already on course to doubling our season ticket sales. At Knowsley Road, historically we sold around 5,000 but we’re already near to 8,000 for next year and I’ll be disappointed if we don’t do 10,000.
If we do that, we should be near the capacity of 18,000 for most games.'"

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

He wants to sell an additional 2,000 between now and Christmas? That's about 55 a day. That is bullish. This stadium seems to have given Saints their 'World Class' swagger back - great fun winding you lot up about that in the past so it's all good.

He will know the historic sales patterns and how many we're selling on a daily basis. Perhaps Christmas sees a lot of new season ticket holders jump on board?
Even at 8,000 it's a 60% rise on Knowsley Road where we averaged 10,000+.

I'm sure he knows what he's talking about, 2,000 in 36 days will be impressive.
Saints crowds will be massively up next year - pretty much a given in SuperLeague these days if you get a nice new stadium (although judging by events at Salford, they may be the exception that proves the rule).

That isn't exactly what McManus said. He said next year, by which he probably means the start of the new season.
We are selling season tickets daily so it isn't entirely beyond the bounds of possibility that we will hit the 10,000 mark prior to the start of the new season. If we do, that will mean at least £2 million in revenue for the club during 2012 from season tickets alone, which would be miraculous when compared to revenues while at KR.

Just as important as your income stream, monies won't be flowing out on the maintenance of KR.
